Diva and Bazille mulitcore?

Just a quick question. I'm running 10.13.3 on a MacBook Pro mid 2015, 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7. Logic 10.4.1

I've read the warning about scrambled presets but I've noticed something else. On both Bazille and Diva using the Multicore option seems to have little effect. I'm currently checking out Diva in demo mode but I have a licensed copy of Bazille. Previously if I used Bazille in multicore mode, I could watch the distribution of the processing over several cores. Now it does not seem to be doing that, on Bazille or in the demo version of Diva. This computer has reasonable power but I have noticed, particularly with Diva patches, that I'm getting close to maxing out single cores. Is there something in the High Sierra that affects multicore distribution with these synths? Or is it just a question of the new operating system not showing when multicores are engaged?

Thanks

Just booted into High Sierra and did some checks with Bazille and Diva in Logic 10.4.1.
Did watch the cpu meter of the Mac activity monitor, and everything looks ok, works the same way as it does in Sierra.
Load gets spread across the cores if I activate the MC option in the plugin.
Does Logic have some built-in CPU monitoring? Or options about how to handle load distribution?

Hi Tas,

Thanks for the reply,

I hadn't looked at the CPU spread since upgrading to Hign Sierra, at least not on one instance of Bazille. Before upgrading to Hign Sierra, if I loaded Bazille on a track, activated the MC option and then watched the CPU meter in Logic, I would see it making use of several cores. Now it only uses one. I wouldn't have thought to look except that I'd downloaded the trial version of Diva and had the same experience. That's when I checked Bazille. On my system it's now only using one core, or it's not showing more core usage. When I checked the Mac activity monitor it's showing about 29% for one instance of Bazille.

Here is the link to an Apple support article explaining a bit about how Logic handles multicore processors:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201838

It explains why you can only see the load on one of the cores in Logic's CPU meter.
You can use something like the CPU meter of the Mac's activity monitor
to confirm that Bazille and Diva are making use of multiple cores if you enable their Multicore switch.

Thanks Tas,

This is great. Love your patches. Have them on several of my synths.
