I've compromised on just a physical modeling synth that can imitate the human voice perfectly without artifacts. That way there are no licensing issues. You're ultimately responsible for programming it to create the voice that you want. If you happen to stumble on a voice that sounds "similar" to another singer, there will be no grounds for any lawsuits or anything like that as long as you don't try to actually pass off the sound as a particular singer.deastman wrote:Sorry, I haven’t read all the middle pages. So what’s the conclusion...can I sing like David Hasslehoff yet or am I going to have to pay to fly him out to sing for my kids birthday party?
And lots of singers have similar voices anyway, like Sinatra and Connick.
