I'm still waiting for a harmonica emulation that can sound like Bob Dylan.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

And you know what REALLY blows my mind? Whenever somebody comes here asking for a sample library of whatever instrument it is they're looking for, all the discussion about the libraries being suggested revolves around the REALISM of the library. Everybody is looking for the most REALISTIC sounding sample library and complain about libraries that don't sound REALISTIC.
I don't hear people saying "Oh no, I can't use THAT library. It's TOO realistic. Shame on them for making it."
The hypocrisy is so deep that I wonder if half you people even listen to the shit you spew out.

But dont forget Beowulf is 11 year old movie that came out in time when not that many poeople even had HD (720p) tvs so it was harder to see flawsCinebient wrote:Lol, i also was thinking about Beowulf. Let´s better enjoy what we have now since we are all obsolete (or dead) in some decades.
I remember was watching Beowulf and up till the middle i noticed that its actually a CGI. At first i notice there was something weird about the movie but couldnt put it what was it. And its a movie that is 11 years old now![]()
Anyway, carry on the discussion
Indeed i think i often miss those fantastic costume and FX creator of the old times.
A lot movies are too much CGI and while it works good in the cinema i find it looks still too much fake at home. One of the greatest thing ever is still for me the transformation in American Werewolf. Maybe it will be the same with A.I. voices. New generations are impressed until they hear a real voice and wonder why no one is using it these days.
I didnt see American Warewolf but will need to check that one.
I think good realisim example would be Peter Cushing reincarnation in Star Wars Rogue Squadron. I myself only got to know it was CG after i red how amazing it looked in an article. And it was after i saw the movie. It fooled me for sure
Also the creature in Shape Of The Water. The creature that doesnt exist (lol) looks so realistic that it just blows my mind. From the looks i would guess its animatronics but the animation shows it cant be. I gues creators did used the actor but i guess it was a combinatiob witg CG.

And yet people have no problem with this. Star Wars uses a dead man in its movie depicting new footage but that's okay.Elektronisch wrote:But dont forget Beowulf is 11 year old movie that came out in time when not that many poeople even had HD (720p) tvs so it was harder to see flawsCinebient wrote:Lol, i also was thinking about Beowulf. Different art forms has different cases and different requirements. You cannot resurect Peter Kushing from the dead to make a prequel for sequel that came out nearly 40 years ago.wagtunes wrote:And yet people have no problem with this. No, its a real human. The actor is wearing a sheath of foam latex with scales and a headpiece, different sets of eyes, an effects team controlling his fins and gills via remote control, and C.G.I. Like a real singer with FX.Elektronisch wrote:But dont forget Beowulf is 11 year old movie that came out in time when not that many poeople even had HD (720p) tvs so it was harder to see flawsCinebient wrote:Lol, i also was thinking about Beowulf. But they still need real actors for the mimic and gestures. So it´s all a kind of augmented reality.Elektronisch wrote:But dont forget Beowulf is 11 year old movie that came out in time when not that many poeople even had HD (720p) tvs so it was harder to see flawsCinebient wrote:Lol, i also was thinking about Beowulf. I mean just that often i find the old FX a lot more organic (analog
But of course we live in times where technology wins over handcrafted things and maybe in some years it´s really that good that we couldn´t see fake sitting in front of a 8K TV.
But i think some also use a combination of these things which is great.
Maybe even A.I. can let us sing better than the best opera singers like Inva Mula as Diva Plava Laguna in the 5th Element.....who knows.
In the meantime i´m waiting for the next full moon.....

We already have choir libraries to compare with string and brass libraries etc... What Wags wants is what they are working really hard on for robotics. Trying to make robots more life like. Maybe there is something that community has that can help him already? Probably not developed far enough at this point ... but
