Hey, just a quick note back on topic. Just a response to the statement that Mackie will not give any notice on new releases, or at least will not say anything. Beno, in the post he made here and on Mackie's web site forum, said this:
"We know you are curious to learn “what’s new” with Tracktion v2. Many of the suggestions made by the current Tracktion users will be incorporated into this upgrade, and we promise to provide you with more details on the new features when we get closer to the actual release of v2."
This tells me two things. First, they WILL give us notice. Second, since they haven't given us notice, that meanst they most likely are not even close to finishing, according to their words.
Sorry to keep this going, but just wanted to put the official words of Mackie into this thread. I'm still content, and will wait patiently. Oh, and if you want to flame me again for bringing this up, oh well. It's no bother to me. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Cheers!

Nah, no flames. 
After the last Mackie newsletter, I realized that it's a Tracktioneering myth that Mackie concretely do not give away pre-release info. Just look at what they said about their thingamahickey. "Coming soon, we promise!" or whatever.
I have no problem with pre-release hype, so I'm not criticizing them for it at all. I'm just saying that somehow we're all under the mistaken impression that they're firmly set against it until release date, which is patently untrue. Spike had publicity before production, too.
Which leads me to the same conclusion-- that we're not really all that close to seeing T2.

You didn't even read what he said. He says when they get closer to the ACTUAL RELEASE of. Remember the last update, it was finished like a month before. It was RELEASED a month later. No, I did see what he said, and understood it. I think my words were chosen wrong on my part. I shouldn't have said "finishing" but "releasing" instead. And the point of my words is not to get Mackie to rush anything out NOW, but rather just to pop in and say things are coming along. But that's been explained.
I think with what they said that we are probably a couple months or so from a release, if not more, but that's just speculation.

This thread reminds me when kids have to check up on mam every 5 minutes if she's still there. If Jules had a weekly appearence on this forum thing would be more calm... It's a very human behavior and mosly about trust. Corporates have PR dept. do deal with this but as Mackie hasn't take over the development of T only the distribution. The development is still in the hands of one guy....
