Can't load: Waves Scheps Omni Channel Strip

Tried with Tracktion 7 and Waveform 9 demo.
I'm new to Waves. I bought this plugin and went through the authentication and installation steps with the Waves plugin management system. Everything goes well there, no issues.
T7 and W9 can't load the plugin. When scanning I get an error that says there is an problem with the Waves license engine.
I can see the plugin in Reaper. When I scan plugins in Reaper I get the same error message, but after ignoring it the plugin appears in Reaper and seems to work fine.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, deleting the cache and all of that. I'm following up with Waves support about this issue, but I'm not certain it is a Waves problem.

Heard back from Waves. They said that Tracktion is not supported:
https://www.waves.com/support/tech-spec ... rted-hosts
The plugin does work on Reaper, so I can't press them further on this. What should I try to get this working in T7/W9?

Apparently there is a problem with Waves plugins in Waveform. On page 12 of the Waveform Problem Plugins thread there's some discussion between a software engineer at Waves and dRowAudio.

Thank you for pointing me there. Having read that Tracktion is working with Waves to improve support, I hope this leads to improvements across the board with Waves plugins.
In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas on how to get past this license issue, I'm all ears. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling half a dozen times, deleting the folders, the cache, doing disk-wide searches for files left behind. Every time I reinstall the Waves Central app for licensing it all goes well, no issues. And like I said, Reaper complains at the scan but afterwards the plugin is there and working.

I've got, and use this plugin in Waveform. The VST2 version currently has gui issues in Waveform, but the VST3 version is fine, in Waveform 9 64 bit version. But you're not even getting that far.
Can you describe exactly which folders you're scanning, and are you using Tracktion 7 32 bit or 64 bit version. And is this on Windows or mac?

Win 10 Pro 64bits. I'm testing on T7 and W9 demo, both 64 bits (and also Reaper 64bits)
For VST3, I'm scanning the default folders suggested by W9, which are:
program files\common files\VST3
[user roaming]\Tracktion 4\Tracktion Plugins
I can see the WaveShell dll in there. They copied it like 10 times all over my computer including in that folder. In other folders they added 2 WaveShell files, but in that folder there's only one shell file for the VST3.

Try opening the vst3 folder will the plugins screen is up and drag and drop the Waves she'll in the list. I have the GUI issue with the vst2 version also, so I am left with only using the vst3 version.

Tried it. Drag-dropping the WaveShell VST3 onto the plugins screen results in T7 and W9 locking up indefinitely, or showing the Waves Engine License error dialog.

You have some licensing issue with your Waves plugin. If you're also seeing that dialogue box in Reaper, which currently is an officially supported host, by Waves, I'd ask their support people how to resolve it. Usually, the VST3 version of Omni Channel works fine in Tracktion/Waveform on win10.
I'd be inclined to try and wipe waves completely, doing something like this ;

I'd concur the licensing issue isn't Waveform/Tracktion specific. While not 'officially supported', all my Waves effects plugins work well in Waveform 9 on my iMac. (With the normal caveat that Scheps Omni requires you use the VST3 version. Great plugin, by the way!)
I'm guessing if you get the pesky licensing issue cleared up, the plugins will work for you in both Reaper and Waveform.

Thanks guys. I think we are at the same conclusion. I'm talking to the Waves support and will keep you posted.
Meanwhile, I'll try to uninstall and reinstall for the 7th time using more instructions. I feel that I'm missing a step about clearing up any Windows Registry information too. So it is: uninstall like the software suggests, then find and kill any files left behind, then empty any hidden registry info, then install again anew.

Just re-read that doc on how to delete folders etc. Noticed that this one is missing, which I happen to know Waves also uses, if you're doing a complete uninstall ...
%appdata%\Waves Audio
Not sure about registry entries, but it's a chatty little bastard, Waves Central, that's for sure ...

Tell a lie, it is in their doc, they just give the full filepath, rather than describing it as %appdata%. So, fingers crossed

It works now in W9 demo. These were my steps (for future reference):
Uninstall as per the article:
http://www.pro-tools-pc.com/how-to-perf ... s-plugins/
Make sure everything is gone from the system. Waves Central uninstalled, but then all folders also removed (and there's a few). Then I also searched the Windows Registry and removed these entries:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Waves Audio
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\wavesaudio
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Waves
Then reinstalled Waves Central. At this point the license error stop happening in Reaper and W9, and the VST3 plugin appeared in W9.
I don't see the plugin in T7, but I'm counting the current progress as a victory. I do mean to upgrade to W9 at some point. I've stretched the budget for home studio stuff over the last couple months getting things going, and I was hoping to stay on T7 a bit longer until W9 comes out of beta.
Thanks for your help. This process was taxing to say the least.

Nevermind all the excitement. It worked for the testing only. Then I came back to try to start a new project and the plugin is gone from W9 again. No issues at Reaper. I think I tried enough.
