Odd, it uses UTF-8 but maybe Safari is using a font that doesn't have that character?
I'll replace it to use the more standard "•" HTML, that seems to work.
If I google for utf-8 bullets, they all display fine.

I could only figure out what the data was supposed to be by taking the raw string and converting it through a windows text encoding then back to utf-8.

Thanks for fixing it though :)

3 Issues:

1. 9.0.39 is poofing when loading certain edits that work in .37 and .38.

Log file crash data:

2. * I can't open this particular edit in 9.0.39 due to the above issue, thus the following behavior is being observed in 9.0.37.

Using the track browser to disable / enable tracks is causing poof crashes when re-enabling a disabled track. It seems to be more centered around submixes, and only when certain plugs are present in the track. Coming back into the edit reveals a different crashed plug each time after the crash that occurred when I clicked on Enable.

Interestingly, after finally disabling all of the plugs after the crashes one at a time, I disabled / re-enabled the same troubled submix once more and it crashed again. This time around loading the edit after each plug crash and choosing to disable the crashed plug did not work to stop the crashing. I noticed in the plug tab that it was now only disabling the most recent crashed plug, and not remembering the previously crashed ones, thus I could never get the edit to stop crashing when re-enabling the submix.

It occurred to me that I should try turning off the run audio engine when stopped option, which immediately stopped the crashes.

Two plugs I know cause this are Newfangled EQuivocate and SIR StandardEQ.

3. * This is evident in the last few versions of W.

Getting - This edit contains references to plugins which are not installed on this machine - in edits that don't show any failed plug loads. Could this be a JBridge issue? It seems to be a harmless warning, just wonder if there's something deeper going on that needs attention. It just occurred to me that I may have tracks with non-present plugs turned off in the track browser, which I'll check ASAP, yet I don't think this is the case...

I have gotten this message when the referenced plugins have moved to a new folder since the edit was last saved. Usually locating them and re-running the plugin scan fixes this. If they are still there, could also delete and re-add the plugin, but doing this will probably remove the plugin state and settings in the edit.

I don't use JBridge, so cannot comment on that part.

Windows 10 and too many plugins

Niggle time...

Settings Plugins Tab:

Why no column sort option for the Disabled, Image or Show columns?

With this last round of plugin crashing madness, I especially missed not being able to sort to see which plugs were listed as disabled.

Thanks zzz00m, will give those things a try.

Auto Lock behavior issues.
Automation data does not move with the clips when using the Move Clip feature. It does move / copy the automation data if you drag the clips to a new position via mouse, yet when using this method, the clips don't visually move with the mouse cursor, until you let go of the mouse button, thus it's a blind move. Other versions have not liked dragging huge amounts of clips, especially comp clips with many takes, thus I've tended to use the Move Clip option, which is very fast, accurate and didn't cause hangs or crashes.

This behavior's been around for a while and I just tested it in 9.0.37 and it's still not working for me.
The following is a niggle, yet how hard can this be to achieve? If there's a settings workaround, do tell.
Comp clips: When takes are displayed, the take numbers on the left side are unreadable. They're a dark grey box with a barely different shade of grey for text.
The above (copied from the .37 thread) were not addressed in this beta.

Please respond.
* Copied once more from the .38 thread. What do I need to do to get a response to these issues?

To further elaborate on the most important one - automation not following clips with Auto Lock turned on via the Move Clip feature. I just retested this in .39 and it's still broken.

Limitations:

1. Selected Collection Clips of a submix do not move with the Move Clip options. (Auto Lock on or off)

2. Selected submix Clips move as they should via the Move Clip feature, yet do NOT move the automation when Auto Lock is engaged.

3. When selecting more than one Collection Clip or standard audio clip, dragging them will either not show the movement in the GUI, or be very jerky. Worse, the popup value display will not update as the clip is being dragged, thus the move is completely blind.

With things being as described, attempting to move sections of an edit that include automation is not possible in any sane fashion. It's a blind guesswork project to say the least. Am I missing something obvious?

What I want to see implemented:

1. Collection Clips to move with the Move Clip feature.

2. Automation data to move with the Move Clip feature when Auto Lock is engaged (for both Collection Clips and Standard clips).

3. A functional drag value meter popup when dragging more than one clip.

Please :help: !

Update: In the spirit of talking to myself with the best of them, what I've described regarding automation and the Move Clips feature is still valid, yet I've re-discovered the Insert into Tracks feature, so yah, the above statement is not totally accurate, and I've indeed found an option that works perfectly for what I need to do when adding space to the the timing of an entire edit all at once, that works well with automation.

Caveat: The Insert into Tracks works great for, well inserting space, yet going in reverse (shrinking space) requires the use of the Move Clips feature.

Feeling thick for not re-membering the Insert into Track feature, yet I'd sill appreciate feedback on my sharings regarding the Move Clips feature and it's not working with automation.

Humbly yours...

Insert into Tracks Feature Issue:

Can not undo the fist instance of inserting space. Additional inserts at the same point will undo correctly, just not the first one.

Edit: This lack of undo of first space insertion seems to be dependent on what's being selected track wise. Some times it works, others it does not.

Yes, this link takes me to my account. The problem is that the newest version there is still 9.0.37! Also when I check for updates from a Waveform there are no updates available - just download again...

Click that link, login, and it takes you to the general "i've just logged in" page.

If you click the link again, *after* you've logged in, you should get to the archive of all the Waveform v9 downloads, including the new betas.

Or just go to "My Downloadable Products", then click on the "Archives" text link, on the right on that page

I've got the same in Firefox (64-bit) 59.0.2 under Windows 10 (64-bit).
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.
