Ack, GAS is nagging with the Audio Damage sale. That's about the best discount that's usually offered (thinking it was the same percentage on Black Friday as well).

Thinking about picking up Grind, Dubstation, and Discord or QuatroMod. But I'm thinking I have all that territory covered already with Blue Cat Late Replies, Destructor, and Valhalla UberMod.

Please, someone else convince me that's true and talk me out of it.

I just don't know if they've been made completely redundant over the last decade or so by other developers' "mix" plugs, ie Neutron.

It's funny you say Mixpack 2 is ancient so it might not be that great. Because I thought the version 1 actually sounded better than version 2.
IME the Mixpack plugins (especially MixBass & MixSaturator) do things I've never found in other plugins in terms of creating huge but controllable tones.

Well .. tried contacting them today and within a minute I got reply it couldn't be done.. that's it. Either fully automated or just some cut and pasted BS, like: don't care what your problem is so go f**k yourself.

That's how I remember Audio Damage from the past and you sure haven't changed guys .. no purchase from me, no thanks. :tu:

Wow! Such a great discount. And exactly what I was looking for!
I was skeptical at first, but once I learned of Blockchain's single page-app socially networked Agile JavaScript solution architecture, I was completely won over.

That's strange. Are you maybe using their old website somehow? Maybe they have an old contact form buried in the current website that doesn't work? I just sent an email directly to:
info@audiodamage.com

And I didn't receive any sort of automated reply that it was rejected.

I really like the block samples over the chain samples. They really added fantastic impact to the clip at just the right time. This is a must have sample library.

I've yet to hear anything that AD does that can't be done better by the quality plugs you've mentioned.
I'd say you're covered.

Now if I could get some help with my GAS over the Audified sale on the RZ06 EQ!

I, myself, found the chains to be much more useful than the blocks. Especially for horror and haunting music. It adds just the right amount of realism.  :dog:

GPO worth getting at $74? I remember the older version(s) were criticized for their instrument quality, not sure about v5.
A well-behaved signature.

It's I still got Panstation and BigSeq2 registered to their old website, so I was asking kindly (info@audiodamage.com) if they couldn't just move or have also show them in the account in the current site before I'd end up having some plugins of theirs in two different places (they'll shut down the old one eventually ..):
The two systems are mutually exclusive, unfortunately. You should use the new account from here on out. The old one will remain in place to access legacy plugs.
Is the response I've gotten. Pretty lame considering they are still selling Panstation and BigSeq2 .. legacy my ass, HoRNet and SKnote also did a relaunch and were able to patch me up.

So is the AKAI VIP 3.1 just akai's version of NI's NKS (Native Control Standard) for integrating any VST effect or VSTi into the akai's keyboards? Automap of sorts, but with a standalone player of sorts? Plus FX chaining? So is it basically the initial programming base of their own DAW but they'll never bother to go that far?

Not sure about it. The marketing has lots of typos and isn't very clear on the benefits. Thoughts?

Further, is the pro version the same exact thing but with extra AIR plugins included? Not very clear again.

It seems like this should be a free download included with new keyboards or for those of us who own their older models. Edit: In checking their website for it, it says it is included with some particular keyboards. I doubt it'll be for my old MPK mini, yet that is one of the ones listed. We'll see...

So I bought into the HGSounds latest GB for Augment this weekend finally. But I just noticed he's got another little product on offer for $15 as well here: https://hgsounds.com/product/midi-seque ... r-kontakt/

And he is adding each sale to the GB numbers to help get everyone to the additional levels. I have to say, he is doing remarkable marketing for a one man show. And remarkable output for a sole developer. Well done on those fronts. A for effort and support. I can't not honor that. It's a must buy. Earned.

I'm going to grab this second product as well just to be cool.

Pretty much but the mapping possibly isn't quite as intelligent so it has a different idea of which are the "go-to" parameters you want tweaking, but then you do have 32 mappable parameters which can be saved for each individual synth as a template (or for each individual preset if you fancy more work). Seems to have difficulties recognizing and importing user presets for some instruments although there are some arduous workarounds if you fancy.
Rational wrote:So is it basically the initial programming base of their own DAW but they'll never bother to go that far?
Thought they already had a basic DAW based around the MPC, think the idea is that you can use it as a standalone VST host for live performances or load in a template set into your current DAW (which you can probably do already by loading a template into your DAW).
Rational wrote:Not sure about it. The marketing has lots of typos and isn't very clear on the benefits. Thoughts?
Works well enough once you have invested the time to modify the parameters it has designated to those you wanted and then saved these with the instrument. Makes more sense to use it with one of their VIP keyboards as these also provide visual feedback as to which parameter is being adjusted, otherwise you'll need VIP open on your screen too, so it won't have that "making music without looking at your screen"/hardware-ish vibe they're selling. If you have a lot of VSTs could be a lot of work compared to simply MIDI learn functionality.
