Hello,
I have downloaded Tracktion 6 for a test today. I cah easily record my keystrokes via the Midi IN.
However I am unable to select any Plugins in the Output menu of the track.
I can see two plugins in Tracktion 6 as per the screnshot below.
However I can't select it as output of my Midi track. I can only select:
(Default Audio Output)
(Default Midi Output)
Output Channel 1+2
Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth
If I change my Audio Device to ASIO in the settings then it is even worse as I can't select anything else than the Default entries which output nothing.
Here is the list of MIDI Devices as well.
The Tyrell plugin works fine under the other DAW I have tried just before : Ohm - both with WindowsAudio and with ASIO. I did not try any other DAW.
Do you have an idea please why I can't use any plugin with Tracktion 6 ?
Thanks

I think you are looking in the wrong place. On the track you are inputting the midi,on the panel below just by the transport area, you can select the output there.
Personally I would put a vst instrument on the track before the volume and pan.check youtube for some tutorials.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer. You put me on the right track and I got my plugin working now. Very good.
For the benefit of others who might struggle about this here is a quick screenshot showing exactly what to do: Cheers !

No problem, might I suggest you place the vst first after the midi clip/track before the volume and meter plugs
