Logic X. sequence on, 16 steps, tempo set at 1/8 or /16 or any... seems to lose sync with the host.

Its on Host. If I switch to Triggered and back to Host it still plays out of sync.braj wrote:In the Sequencer section, try changing Host from Triggered to Host.plexuss wrote:I was just about to buy it, after starting with default and trying to program it, but then it appears the sequencer is not playing in time with my DAW. I'm really liking this synth now, it kind of fits the space in my rig I always hoped Poly-Ana would occupy, but way easier to deal with.

Price is one consideration off course, but it's fair to say that most people have all this covered (and a lot more actually). Currently, there is nothing special about this synth to distance it from the competition.
I paid more for repro but also got a lot more.
(No u-he fanboi but the comparison is obvious. )
Considering the other products from this developer i am hoping he still got a few tricks up his sleeve and this should be more considered an alpha than a beta.

This may be the same cause as my issue. I played a loop of 4 1/16 notes from the daw, it sounded off grid, as if there were some modulating swing. Unusable at the moment.plexuss wrote:Its on Host. Well, earlier I had it working right in Reason, but then something crashed and my whole machine hung, had to force reboot but then everything works fine again. I don't know if that is related at all, if it even had anything to do with the DAW.

Agree that this can do some really nice "darker analog" textures. The filters aren't Moog-ish in terms of raw growl, but they still sound really good. I think Mod's sound quality is different from a lot of the popular VA's nowadays, but of high quality nonetheless.plexuss wrote:On the plus side, what's there is very nice. the sound of the synth is unique and powerful. it can go into those darker analogue textures like a Pro-one or old Roland, and out to unique extremes - both the oscilators and filters.
A well-behaved signature.

Who would possibly still be using an 8 year old i7?layzer wrote:just think how little cpu other more cpu efficient synths from 8 years ago run on so called modern computers. This shouldn't be considered an alpha...it is what it is. You either like the sound and the immediacy — verses other options — or you don't. I think it sounds great and the price is great.Stefken wrote:Price is one consideration off course, but it's fair to say that most people have all this covered (and a lot more actually). The name is not so good. Mod implies something the synth not really is. And it sounds odd. He should have asked us for a good suggestionsJerGoertz wrote:Agree that this can do some really nice "darker analog" textures. Has anyone posted audio examples, yet?
Like a synth bass line or a few lush pad chords?

Someone made a long video on it:
Of course I did not watch all of it, just jumped around a bit. It does sound surprisingly versatile.

Actually it is very versatile, much more than what it seems at first sight.fluffy_little_something wrote: It does sound surprisingly versatile.

Been listening to that video on the background while working, sounds pretty damn good. I love TAL products, but really don't want to buy yet another synth
