Btw, WUP is currently capped at 225. Wasn't that always 300?

But I did not see any possibility to apply a coupon to a WUP purchase.

Yes, it was $300, but it used to go on sale to $225 twice a year. I haven't WUP'd in about 2 or 3 years, so things may have changed.

Hey I can upgrade to Mercury + Studio Classics for $156. That should reset the WUP shouldn't it?

Edit - Yes, upgrades reset the WUP. good deal!

In case anyone is interested, i contacted PA about not receiving a voucher and it appears they have changed the eligibility criteria:

Starting this month, our new policy for the monthly customer loyalty voucher program is that each user's voucher value is based on the amount that they have spent in our store within the 12 months that precede the date that the voucher is issued (i.e. April 2017- April 2018). Additionally, in order to be eligible for vouchers requires at least $50 worth of purchases to be made. Currently your yearly spend is >$50 so this month no voucher will be sent.

Well it was good while it lasted.

As written at the link at the site posted earlier (https://www.waves.com/legal/presonus-vo ... conditions ), the coupon can't be used on WUP.

It's still 300 according to the support page. However I noticed that, too. Maybe that's a leftover from their 25% WUP discount in february?
If there's one thing about Waves that really annoys me, it's their intransparency in pricing. Like when they introduced a license transfer fee overnight. Also they are changing MSRPs without notice. Best example is Multirack was 699 (I believe) around a year ago, than went down to 149$ and 99$ within a couple months and is now back at 499$. Luckily it seems WUP is now 5% of the MSRP with a 7,50$ minimum compared to 10%/10$ before. Therefore sudden changes to a product's MSRP at least won't affect WUP costs that drastically anymore.

The voucher may not work on the WUP, but it did work on the upgrade. $106 to get a bunch of new plugs and WUP for another year.

Post

I should modify that in that the SSL4000 bundle is only missing the stuff that is already in Mercury. So really? The $106 was to combine the bundles (SSL 4000 and Mercury) and update my WUP for another year on both. Still a good deal as they have added at least 5 new plugins to Mercury in the last year or two that I don't have.

Oh, that is clever. Need to try that.

Edit: does it reset the WUP or add a year? My WUP on Mercury is still good till 12/18.

Not sure. The website only says:

Free Waves Update Plan

When you upgrade, you will also get the Waves Update Plan for a full year, including all updates and VIP technical support – free of charge!

So maybe it resets it?

I'm pretty sure you can upgrade from H-Reverb to the H series bundle even if H-Reverb has an expired WUP. I'm sure I did that with H-EQ. I don't know about the Presonus voucher though.

Don't waste your money on WUP if there's no immediate benefits (new plugins added to bundles).

I actually only paid for WUP once - because they added a bunch of new plugins. I normally just upgrade to a new product which resets the WUP for a year. Unfortunately, once I got to Mercury, the upgrades mostly stopped.

I think so, too. I vaguely remember that WUPs on upgrades always went until one year after I did the upgrade. Nice trick though. I could do the same thing but with my WUP still going a while I need to wait.

Ah, that would explain it then. Still, I can't complain, I got quite a bunch of stuff for $4 over the last year - RockRack V3, EQ Ranger Plus upgrade, Museq, bx_stereo, Lindell 7x-500, Unfiltered Dent 2 upgrade, bx_opto (hmmm, more like $14). Not $50 worth though, so yeah, real shame as I would've bought the Lindell TE-100 for the $24 plus my voucher, but there we go.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

Is this separate than the Melda Production 20% referral (and 10% credit of the sale to the promo code owner): https://www.meldaproduction.com/about/referral?

I checked the Melda Production site and did a quick search on Google and it makes no mention of any new promotions.
