[Feature Request] ROLI Seaboard Block - maintain previous configuration?

I would like to be able to configure my Seaboard Blocks in BLOCKS Dashboard and then use them in Waveform as they were configured in the Dashboard, while still having Waveform "Take control of BLOCKS". The goal of this would be to make it possible to choose a specific MIDI channel to send on, enabling single channel mode, disabling MPE as desired, etc. I could have sworn this was how it was working in v9.0.39, but it definitely isn't working this way in v9.1.1.

Alternative, if an option similar to "Send XYZ program to Lightpad Blocks" was possible for Seaboard Blocks (so I could turn off W9's Seaboard Blocks behavior), that would be great, too. Basically, the only thing I want Waveform to control itself is the Loop block from my Songmaker Kit. I prefer to use the Lightpad Block in the hidden Songmaker Kit / Rise configuration .. and I prefer to be able to configure the Seaboard Blocks as desired so that I can change to Single Channel mode easily when using non-MPE instruments.

Thoughts?

I think it is impossible because when "Take control of BLOCKS" is clicked Waveform is sending a basic MPE configuration to BLOCKS. All previous data sent from Dashboard is overwritten by Waveform. I do not use this option, just configure everything in Dashboard - another problem is that on Windows 10 "Take control of BLOCKS" doesn't work as expected and nothing has changed in 9.1.1:

Personally I would allow user to configure BLOCKS (MPE) from Waveform in similar form as it is in Dashboard. It would require sending some predefined presets or presets set by a user instead of the fixed configuration ("Take control of BLOCKS").

Well, I'm pretty sure that when "Take control of BLOCKS" is unchecked or Waveform is shut down, the Blocks revert to their previous configuration. So, I don't think the configuration is overwritten. But, I suppose that doesn't really matter. What matters is how they behave in Waveform, which I think needs a little update. I may end up having to do what you do, MBO, and just not use that feature of Waveform and map the Loop block myself. I'd rather not have to do that, though...

Hopefully someone from Tracktion can weigh in!

EDIT: My mistake, it does appear to overwrite whatever configuration the blocks had previous. Strange, I could swear that that behavior is new in 9.1.1. Whatever the case... I'd really like to see this change. There are instruments I use regularly that don't support MPE, so I'm not sure yet how I'm going to deal with them. I may just have to follow MBO's lead and disable "Take control of BLOCKS" .. which would be sad.

EDIT 2: How about adding a checkbox similar to to the "Send XYZ program to Lightpad Blocks" for the Seaboard Blocks? That way the user could continue to configure those in BLOCKS Dashboard. Maybe that'd be a quick win? The only thing I'd really like Waveform to control is the Loop Block...

I've just made a quick test with 9.1.1 and 8.2.7 (on Windows), so:

- Seaboard settings are overwritten and some of them don't return to the previous configuration after Waveform is closed (MIDI Start Channel, Pitch Bend Range), some of them seem untouched,
- Lightpad program is overwritten if "Send XYZ" is selected but on exit the previous program is restored.

I don't use this option in Waveform and everything set in Dashboard, also because I use other DAW's for different purposes, but if this option would have more features in Waveform it would be handy (on Windows it does not work at all now - at least for me - did somebody run it on Windows?)
