Waveform 8 does not see my instruments (Roli lightpad block, Roli Seaboard RISE or KK S61)

I am unable to assign any of my instruments to an instrument track in Waveform 8!
I've enable the devices in the setup pages, but they don't show up as options on the tracks themselves. Why is this?
Also, as a control surface, I'm not able to use the Komplete Kontrol Mackie setup to use the transport functions on the keyboard cause the KK DAW driver doesn't show up in Waveform either.
Any tips on how to get this to work is greatly appreciated. I could not find anything on Roli's site or NI's site about setting these to work in Waveform.
best,
Greg

can you show a screengrab or describe (very exactly!) what you're doing?killmaster wrote:I am unable to assign any of my instruments t

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

o sure! thanks...
so I see my Roli Seaboard RISE, Roli Lightpad Block and Komplete Kontrol S61 keyboards in the MIDI device setup list here:
But when I add an instrument plugin (in this case Equator, I tried others with same results), and try to select any of they keyboards as input, I get this:
So I'm wondering why they don't show up?

And, as far as trying to use the Mackie transport function from my KK S61 (driver installed), it doesn't show up for me as a possbility when I try to designate it as a control surface:

Yes, but they're all 'output' devices on that list. ie you can output MIDI from Waveform to them. They'd need to be input devices to get MIDI from them.killmaster wrote:o sure! thanks...

that's 'correct' by the devices page though; it corresponds with the three devices that are input devices on your list. But when I add an instrument plugin (in this case Equator, I tried others with same results), and try to select any of they keyboards as input, I get this:
As said, they're not appearing as input devices. As to why they're not also there as 'input' devices, as is normal for most controller type things, im not sure.So I'm wondering why they don't show up?
IAC driver means you're on a Mac, right? If so, are the devices all set up and properly available as inputs in the Mac's MIDI control panel?
Could there be something else running which has grabbed them as input devices?
You could also do do a rescan from the MIDI Devices page of Waveform see if that changes anything?

That's really strange that they show up in Output but not Input. My Roli blocks show up in both. +1 for checking Audio MIDI Setup and seeing if everything is fine there.. and then refreshing in Waveform.

I finally shut everything down and restarted and the inputs showed up! Really weird cause they seemed to show up ok in Audio MIDI Setup. Was messing with my iPad through IDAM and wondering if that could've cause a glitch or something.Naenyn wrote:That's really strange that they show up in Output but not Input. Thank you all for all your help, definitely pointed me in the right direction for things to try! Sorry to take up your time but I appreciate it!
