Not many developers include all three versions (Kontakt, Live and EXS) with no surcharge.
That’s why I cherish these smaller companies.

I agree, its great to have options. I just would like to get more information of the differencies, which can´t find the developers site.
This is the reponse I got from their support:

"Each version is natively programmed in Live, Kontakt and Logic from the ground up. Each platform has its own technical strengths and constraints. Live for instance uses Racks whereas Kontakt uses KSP and Logic uses Smart Controls. We try to develop each pack as much as possible for the given host but they are - in the end - different in both their functionality and graphical user interface.

That being said, it's really personal preference whether you prefer one host over the other."

It varies from instrument to instrument but typically, the Kontakt NKI's use more or less the same controls across the sounds in a given package. The Live instruments are based on a rack, with eight macro knobs mapped to different things – sometimes to effects and features that aren't replicated in the Kontakt version, such as a lazer zap on the first patch in Phazeform vol 1. This is probably because making custom macro pages in Kontakt is a royal PITA but easy in Live. Conversely, the Kontakt Juniper has a lot of controls on its macro page, but hte instruments in the Live version are limited to eight. However, the underlying racks and controls are available for further editing in either case.

Personally, I favour the Kontakt versions because they are more portable across DAWs (obviously) but I keep the Live instruments accessible on a network drive as some sounds are nicer out of the box.

Yes, it may be a good idea to do some tests between different formats, because all the instruments are avalaible as separate downloads.
Kontakt is always easy, I think that getting the full use of the Live requires use in tweaking the racks.

Subscribe to Puremagnetik and youll get these $9 offers more often.

Just checked and I got this Retro collection in 2011 from Audiomidi for $9 and the following direct from Puremagntik for $9 or thereabouts each

String Machines XL, The Soniq Collection, All Drums for Live, Kontakt & Logic, B-System XL

Not sure why it's an either/or scenario with Live or Kontakt, previously Puremagnetik gave the option for both on download (although I think you need to download the sample content for each type too as they store them in different places).

No, you can get it in all 3 formats, if you want. Or choose which instruments in which formats.

Are there any places to get additional discounts on the uvi.net deal going on?

Post

audiodeluxe.com so far. Waiting to see if JRR Shop will be doing anything.
Does anyone know if I can buy Falcon and use the voucher towards vintage vault 2?_?

Are you sure? Audiodeluxe did not show an additional discount in cart. At least not for Falcon Expansions.

You can compress the samples in Kontakt. If anyone has Live 9 Suite you may already have this bundle.

It's very convenient to get all these formats, especially at this price.
