Waveform 9.1.1 froze on me a couple of times yesterday when comping clips to one clip.
First I selected all clips in edit by error and pressed "Create Comp". Realising I had included all clips in the edit and not just all clips in the track as intended, I pressed "Cancel" while it was comping. Waveform froze, and I had to shut it down.
Later in the same edit I selected all files in track and pressed "Create Comp". It seemed to go into a kind of loop, comping 100% again and again. I pressed "Cancel". Waveform froze in the same way.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just me (or my edit)?
Problem with "Create Comp" in 9.1.1?

Are you sure it actually froze on the first issue reported? Sometimes it takes a little while to release resources if you've triggered lots of clips to render. Was it over 30 seconds? If so, we'll take a look. (This could just be an oversight and something we can drastically improve upon).
For the second issue, each 0-100% loop is a single clip. How many clips did you trigger to render and how many 0-100% loops did you see? How long did this process go on for as it might just not have finished rendering all the clips...

It's quite possible that there is a case of user impatience here, but there really does seem to be a problem with cancelling Create Comp once it's started. I tried comping several clips in a track right now, and it worked fine if I let it run until the end. Then I did it again and hit Cancel halfway through, and got the eternal hourglass.dRowAudio wrote:Are you sure it actually froze on the first issue reported?
