Yeah, but it comes with a downside or two. We will also add a menu "choose your location" and then display prices with local taxes added. This is part of why we moved away from common content management systems to a pretty much fully hand coded site. So we have the option to do that. We will also move to € as reference currency.chk071 wrote:Looks nice, and kudos especially for stating the prices on the product pages. That has really become rare these days... often you first have to click buy, and then you already get taken to the cart, or even to the checkout page.

We have decided to keep using Google Analytics. It's a valuable tool for us.Teksonik wrote:For comparison.........

Michael says there's no GA code on the page yet.Urs wrote:We have decided to keep using Google Analytics. It's a valuable tool for us.
But could be the twitter embed on the front page.
Does this also show up on pages that don't have the twitter embed?Teksonik wrote:I have "Use Tracking Protection to block known trackers = Always" set in FF's Privacy and Security Options

So this.....

Went to this....Urs wrote: This website has minimal active content to meet modern privacy and security standards.
And became this....#rob wrote:Yup, very likely browser related.
So you are using Tracking. Thanks that's all I need to know. Have a nice day.Urs wrote:We have decided to keep using Google Analytics. It's a valuable tool for us.

It *is* browser related. Browsing in a private and tracking-protected tab *is* a browser setting.
As I already pointed out, the new web site preview currently does NOT contain any Google Analytics code.
Left that part out of your logical quote/flow diagram, did ya?
As I also already pointed out, we use JavaScript local storage to do two or three fancy things, like sending messages from a form to a result page and keeping items in your cart when you close the browser, so they're back in your cart when you return to the page. It's quite likely that the browser interpretes this as "tracking", although it's not *us* who store information about you on our end, but it's *your* browser that's instructed to store information for the web site on *your* system for the web site to find when you return. Disabling that is a browser setting. Not a tracking matter, not a web site privacy issue. We don't use this kind of mechanism to track individuals, shopping carts are not linked to individuals. (...if this actually is the underlying issue.)

I'm not U-He, but I think that from a marketing strategy, it makes sense to put the best sellers on top of the page. Or the new ones.Elevated_being wrote:Suggestions:
1. Put Zoyd and LtmLab under one entry in the products drop-down list as "retired plugins"
2. Order the synths in alphabetical order
3. Consolidate all "limited" synths under their parents, e.g. Put Zebralette & Zebra CM under Zebra
And somewhat agree about #3, at least BazilleCM and Beatzille should be together, I guess.

Ooh a shiny new website!
The products on a white background look more distinct. Yes it's much clearer what's on offer.
I prefer the grey backgrounds and shadings of the old website hehe, but the new one looks cleaner.
Ooh no! Where has the pic of the zebra humping the dinosaur gone? Censorship at u-he!

Hey, how will bundles work?
Do you have any plans of offering upgrades to bundles? (by example, I now own 4 of the 6 synths, and want to complete my collection someday)

Yep, as we clearly say in our privacy statement and in the cookie pop up when you first visit the page...?Teksonik wrote:So you are using Tracking.
(That said, the whole privacy and security thing is about protecting customer data. It does neither change that we collect it, e.g. to create and send out serial numbers, or that we process it, e.g. to provide for customer support)

No, bundles are just discounts on buying multiple licenses in one go. They are a feature of the shop, not a product on their own right.waltercruz wrote:Hey, how will bundles work?

Urs, if you're at all interested in parting from Google, there's this: https://matomo.org/Urs wrote:Yep, as we clearly say in our privacy statement and in the cookie pop up when you first visit the page...?Teksonik wrote:So you are using Tracking.![]()

I have experience with deploying and administering this for my own website(s) analytics. It's great. No third party servers needed.
Me personally, I block Google Analytics JS with NoScript and I also block the tracking pixel.
Meanwhile, sites with their own analytics which sit upon the root or subdomain pass NoScript and that's fine by me.
Liberating Analytics
Matomo is the only analytics platform that gives you full control over your data and more:
Free open-source software
100% data ownership
User privacy protection
User-centric insights
Customisable and extensible
Easy to use
No data limits

Clean, functional.
Would also include Dark Zebra under Synths.

- You guys probably know this but for me the Ace price is displayed in Euros (€69) while everything else shows up in dollars $.
- On the Tyrell page there is no link to the English manual.
- On the Support/Downloads page the 'Latest Builds' link takes you to an old KVR link
- On the Support/Downloads page the 'View all user guides' takes you to a mystery 'XXXX' link!
Is this where the u-he spankbank goes?
It's all looking very functional and clear...maybe too clean and functional.
