I have a lot of plugins, which thankfully in my DAW show up in categories like Dynamics, Distortion, Modulation, etc. Or at the very least show up by manufacturer. But even better, in my daw I've setup my own custom lists and organization which makes finding plugins I want to use very quick and easy. However when I load plugins in Axiom, it simply goes to my component or VST folder. So unless I know specifically the component name for the plugin I'm are looking for, it becomes a real pain. With this system I cannot quickly browse through my different distortion plugins for example, I have to think about each specific plugin I want to use and then search by name for the component which either starts with the company name (like PSP) or the plugin name, and I dont know which one until I start to search, which immediately zaps my creative energy.
I know this might come across as a petty thing, but to me its important as speed and easy access is everything when trying to be "in the moment." I'm assuming since this is not in the product that there must be some technological limitation that makes this impossible to implement? Or are other users somehow getting by just fine without a DAW style plugin loading system? To me it is a huge workflow killer and makes me wonder if these plugins are not for me?
