Yea, Tal-Mod is a very flexible synth....BlackWinny wrote:So beautiful...PatchAdamz wrote:Finally got a chance to muti-track some sounds together.

Y'all!!!
Send your bugs and feature requests to Patrick. He's really busy working on this and doesn't keep up with the threads like we do.
No point writing a bug/FR request here and not sending it to him.

I think there are some design flaws in talmod , or at least not verry well thought out
For exampe the osc 1 fm input , if you want to modulate it with just the noise oscilator or sub osc. : NO luck.
Oscilator 2 is always part of the fm modulation ..
I mean it's already hardwired to osc1 ( fm knob ) .
One wonders why there is an FM input at all .

Kind of my feeling too.gentleclockdivider wrote:I think there are some design flaws in talmod , or at least not verry well thought out

I gave up on trying to like this synth
It feels more like a student project with wacky design decisions than a solid product.
Why does stereo spread only works with even number of voices? Delay after reverb?
And it's not so CPU friendly after all.
Yes, it sounds good, but so does Synthmaster One and I never though I'd say this, but the latter looks more serious and mature.
I would be definitely passing on the intro offer. I would rather wait for a next sale to see it's got any better and worth the money.
Or probably just go for a Rob Paper Go2. Totally different sound, but good anyway. One page UI and cheap as well.

Well , I already bought it and don't regret doing that .
Togu as a company is amazing , and I am willing to support the guy .
But there are just too many things missing that make modular's fun , like mod mixer , feedback routings etc.
It does sound great and has it's uses
It's not exactly 'Any Cable Everywhere '

Probably because you can modulate it with plenty of other modulators.gentleclockdivider wrote:I think there are some design flaws in talmod , or at least not verry well thought out

Also, within the restriction of a semi modular architecture, you can -heavily- modulate osc2 with the noise osc, then use FM (just an example among many others of course)

Having made hundreds of patches on both units, it's true. For example, I think TAL-MOd has a zdf filter.gentleclockdivider wrote:

Overall, Tal-mod has a nice analog vibe I enjoy. And plenty of possibilities you can't find on the other model. Reverse beeing true as well. In any case, as I see them, there's barely any overlap between the two instruments.

Just had an email conversation with patrick regarding the FM input.
Thing is , the fm of osc1 is always controlled by osc2 , even whenfm amount is zero and osc 2 level is zero /
I wrongly assumed when osc 3 is patched into osc1 fm input it would override osc2 as a modulator , this is not the case .
Osc3 controls the modulation amount of osc2 --->fm osc1 .
Hope that makes sense to everybody .

Intro period extended by 2 weeks, I suppose he didn't expect beta testers to find so many issues

Patrick would have everything to gain to be more present at KVR and to use the KVR passionate members as beta testers for his plugins.

Is it normal for the default value for the P1 Control goes to 0 and for the P2 Control she goes to halfway ?
