Korg has used third-party developers a lot for their software. This is probably another example. I wouldn't think that effort on one Korg software product is taking resources away from another, except if they're only paying one contractor at a time...EnGee wrote:Korg Is busy with Switch now! All working here on Soundcloud... there was something strange about the track above though. I first tried it on my smartphone, and pressed Play, but, it didn't play the track, but, immediately go to the end of it, the same with the other, auto-played tracks after it.
Edit: Oh well, the track above works now too. Maybe they worked on the site, or something.
Hm, you didn't turn off the second oscillator by chance?

Odd- I just clicked it and its working- Maybe Soundcloud was down....chk071 wrote:Track couldn't be found.SLiC wrote:For those who are interested this is the same initial patch dialled up on the ARP hardware. Both parts from the same keyboard (over midi to hardware) and no fx (just a little compressor on the master). I tried to dial everything on the hardware exactly the same as the software.

Generally not surprised though. Their KLC MS-20 doesn't sound like the real thing either.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

They sound quite different, though

I liked the first sound more as well. I didn't even notice that it was software first, i simply assumed that better sounding = hardware.
To me, as i wrote, it sounds as if the second sound only has one oscillator, while the first has two oscillators going. As it is unlikely that that slipped past SLiC, i assume that the sound vastly differs on the same parameter values. I could understand when it would slightly differ, but, that much seems to be a bit odd indeed.

I don't know really! I hope they don't ignore the desktop versions. The size now doesn't invite me to make my own presets or tweaking at all (except the ARP Odyssey). I'm finding myself using more and more the synths with clear fonts and design (Like The Legend and RePro as vintage synths).Jace-BeOS wrote:Korg has used third-party developers a lot for their software. Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Just found these two demo videos of the VST edition of Korg Odyssey (on OSX and Windows). As we all keep on expecting at least a demo from Korg themselves, I can't remember if someone already posted these two videos from other players on this current thread.
The first one, upload date : 28 January (by UltimatePreset who made a 68 presets bank that he sells €10)
And the second one, upload date : 23 February (shown in FL Studio)

On the possible chance that Korg never releases a Triton (there unfortunately doesn't appear to be an email link to request it, though I've tried tweeting about it once), you wouldn't happen to know any sample packs or other close emulations would you?dbender wrote:+ 1,000,000!!!Shiek927 wrote:Personally I'm hoping to see the Korg Triton pop up eventually. Still have my old Triton rack with many extensions and the adat outs card, and would love a virtual version.
Heck they did it for the beast M-1....

Isn't the Triton just "another" variant of the AI synthesis that first appeared on the M1? It's surely more evolved than the M/T series, but basically it is a ROMpler, isn't it?

Yeah it's basically a rompler - but it has more elaborate synthesis compared to AI-based synths (twin filters, much more modulation, sampled content is quite a lot better, more and better FX).
