Hi,

When I click the + zoom in button, the spectrum zoom up vertically.
Is there a way to not do this? I hope there is cause I want to see the full spectrum but have few dBs of gain.

Thanks a lot

Hi Thavma, I'm afraid I'm lost - that's exactly what the button does. Could you post some screenshots? Seems like language barrier.

Hey there.

Instead of 24 dB of gain possibility , I only want for ex. 3 dB

But when I zoom in, so the dBs are few, I don't want the spectrum to zoom in, I want to stay in same full zoom

Is this possible? If not I think it should have it.

Sometimes you want to have all the screen of EQing at 3dBs max, but you need the spectrum to be fully viewable.

From what you wrote it sounds like you are clicking the wrong zoom button.

You want the vertical zoom buttons. I'm not at my computer now so sorry I don't have a screenshot, but you want the zoom buttons on the right of the display, not the zoom buttons below the display. Try those.

Hey thats the buttons I am clicking

But I don't want the spectrum to be zoomed in.

Post

Hey this is the problem, the spectrum is zoomed up vertically and gets cut off
A button in the red area to lock the spectrum zoom would be nice!

Except if there is this option and I am not aware of

Now I'm confused too! You want to zoom the spectrum but you don't want the spectrum to be zoomed? I'm a little confused as to what that means, sorry.

Anyway there already is a way to lock zooming, the padlock symbol just above the red area you highlighted. There is one for both horizontal and vertical.

Hey,

I am not sure why you don't understand but take a look at fabfilter pro-Q

you can change the scaling of dBs to 3dB for example. But the spectrum analyser is full screen always. It does not zoom in

..."in other words"?...zoom the wave form display without zooming the eq.curve.display...ie eq.curve and wave.form have separte controls...is that what the question is...never thought about it before, but seems to make some sense when I think about it...hth.../s~

To put it in a way everyone should understand:

The graph has 2 units on the Y axis.
On the left is a db scale for the EQ curves.
On the right is a db scale for the analyser.

Currently both zoom together.
Thavma would like them to have separate zooms.

In my opinion the best way to implement this in an intuitive way is to have another set of zoom buttons in the lower left.
So left zoom for EQ and right zoom for analyser.

Thanks jmg8!

Sorry I did notice the right dBs that were for spectrum.

Post

Ah, i understand now. You want a separation between the spectral analyzer and the EQ graph. Makes sense. Personally i dont want any more buttons added to the graph, but I can understand the use case now!

Yes sorry for not being clear!

Aaaaha, I'm afraid nothing like that is planned sorry, it would be technically very very difficult considering what all could be there. I'd recommend simply using the Dry/wet ;). 50% means half the gain range and this way it is easy to get "more/less" processing.
