I'm looking for info on the maschine jam free expansion offer. I found it on some UK websites a few days back but didnt see it mentioned anywhere else. I got curious again yesterday when Uncle E posted about it in the bargain thread. It's also listed on Sweetwater now but nothing on the NI website. So is it retailer or country specific or otherwise limited in some way? I would like to buy locally in my country, so looking for more details.

From what I see, I've seen the info on UK, AU and US sites. The details are below (including the differences from last year's offer) and overlaps, so if you got a Maschine unit last year (the deal includes all models), it's not as attractive an offer.

This year's (2018) expansions

Prismatic Bliss (Ambient Electronica)

Decoded Forms (Breakbeat)
Elastic Thump (Funk, R’n’B)

While last year (2017) was...

Yes I saw the info about the expansions and the difference from last year. Why I really want to know is why it's not listed on NI website and whether it's retailer specific i.e. if I buy locally will I still get the expansions. It's not really any worse than last year for me since I was only really interested in maschine jam anyway. However, I am also looking to dive back into cubase soon and already have a Mk1 so should probably save up for the cubase license instead. Maybe I'll revisit this again after the release of maschine 3.0 software.

Looks like it's listed now on the NI homepage (which takes you to: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... am-plus-7/)

I was interested to buy it last year when they had the same promo, but after some checking, there seems to be a problem with the lights on or off that are unreadable. I don't know if it's been corrected, but I have not find anything about a fix, so I stayed away.

Hope Antoni hasn't been stuck in another astral plain since the beginning of March! Maybe he means May. Hhmm.. put on a sale and then go on holiday.

Are PSP a one man band?
Be patient, my friend. Antoni will answer. I had the same problem and it's now solved. Just give the man a few days to deal with the problem. It seems like there has been a problem generating PACE iLok serial numbers.
The message you read when contacting PSP is an old message that has not been erased (but should have).
Stick to PSP. I love everything Antoni makes. (And I don't work for them at all). I know it's annoying to buy something and not being able to use it right away, but in the big scheme of things, it's not such a big deal (imho).
Cheers! :)
It will get sorted out, my filter is not listed at all and delay took the night for the code, PianoVerb2 was instant. There is a disclaimer on PSP support about being away on "Meditation" until March 5th, so we need to be patient.
take care
I'm meditating about getting this...

I got it from a previous deal. It's not perfect, but there's some pretty good stuff in it. At this price, you can't go wrong.

Does anyone have a spare PA voucher they'd like to give away? I could use one.

What´s the best part of it, in your opinion?

From another website thread on this sale, the strings and brass are good, but if you have the string and brass bundles from earlier sales, you have it all. This is the best part of the library.

The winds are fixable but not great. You may need to understand Kontakt to fix them. The rest (percussion, etc...) gets mixed reviews from good to not that great. The demos I've heard, the cymbals are bad. It really sticks out for me. I probably would have bought it anyway because for the price, it is not a bad secondary orchestra for filler. But I already have the strings bundle and the brass bundle, along with his ensemble thing.

I like the KH Spotlight strings, which I have. Years ago I purchased the KH Pop-Rock strings, which were not that detailed sampled, and maybe more for background "string pad" type of orchestration. The demos of the Diamond I´ve heard, sound rather good.
My policy concerning the orchestra libraries, has been to purchase piece by piece very good sounding instrument/instrumet groups, but not to put huge amoung of money. I don´write for full symphony orchestra, more for chamber and chamber-mix modern (I like classical percussions a lot).
Individual, very well articulated instrument pieces, type Emotional Cello, CH Winds Pro, in my opinion makes the orchestration arrangements rich, detailed and enjoyable, rather than
numerous of mediocre quality instruments, with full packet arrangements.

But sometimes you need in your arrangements full symphony orchestra sound, that´s why I´m interested in the KH Diamond.

Spotlight Strings is an awesome library!

This is flat out not true. There is exactly 1 soundset on sale (Electric Razor).

I don't have the library. If I didn't have the Strings Bundle, the Brass Bundle, and the Ensemble I would totally buy it. It is supposed to be better than Miraslav and the price is great. From everything I've heard, it is worth the price. His Ensemble sounds good, so I would assume the Diamond would be similar if you are looking for a full orchestra sound. But I would look at it as a secondary, filler orchestra, if that makes sense - like background to a good solo instrument. I understand it was recorded pretty dry, which works well with other libraries. And they recommend not using the in-built reverb because it isn't that good.
