But what really bugs me, is that althogh iZotope is eager to send all the time, all kind of marketing material and mails to their customer, in these situations, when they launch an upgrade of the product , they don´t care to give any decent informations, not to the mention an special offer, of the upgrade pricing of their existing customer. I own almost all the iZotope products, advanced version, but iZotope doesn´t seem the care a sh.t of their existing customer.

I’m not allowed to give details but there will be a special deal exactly for Music Production Suite owners.Harry_HH wrote:As a existing iZotope Music Production Suite (worth $ 999) owner, I got that advertisement, too.

Still, I don't get the iZotope CRM policy.
Basic marketing says, that you should FIRST take care of the existing clients, they should be priviledged to get advance information and offers. The mass marketing comes second.
What iZotope does, is opposite to that: the existing, loyal customers are thrash for them, they comes last.
And US is supposed to be the promised land of the market economy....

I emailed iZotope and asked when they were going to update their line with resizable GUIs. Respone was:
"We absolutely plan on introducing resizable interfaces in the future, and will not make users pay for these simple product updates."
But it looks like they're going to charge users for another upgrade to this Music Production Suite before they introduce resizable GUIs.
Nothing in that list of features on the Time & Space link hints at a resizable GUI yet. Wonder if they're going to charge for upgrades to the rest of the product line before they finally get around to doing resizable interfaces?
VocalSynth and Nectar 2 PS are great products. Echoing some of the other sentiments ITT, It's too bad they're backed by a company that seems to show very little appreciation to existing customers.

Plenty of other American companies treat their existing customers well. Think about Costco, for instance. Just keep paying your membership dues, and you'll always have access to inexpensive bulk toilet paper and paint buckets full of various condiments.Harry_HH wrote:Hi, good to know.Uncle E wrote:I’m not allowed to give details but there will be a special deal exactly for Music Production Suite owners.Harry_HH wrote:As a existing iZotope Music Production Suite (worth $ 999) owner, I got that advertisement, too.

If you don't like them, don't support them. Pretty simple. That's the point of a market economy. You don't have to use them.Harry_HH wrote:And US is supposed to be the promised land of the market economy....

I don't like their marketing either. It doesn't get me mad, but I find it puzzling.
It would be easier for the consumer if *ALL* their offers for upgrading/crossgrading were made simultaneously.
Instead, it seems they figure by staggering their sales, then they always have a sale and then they always have a reason to run a promotion (ads/emails/etc...).
Unfortunately, that leaves people out at different times.
Sometimes element owners have cheaper upgrade paths than advanced owners... It doesn't make sense, except that they get to run another promo, which I can only speculate is their goal.

I bought it in the end. I can see one of the common criticisms wasn't addressed: you still have to save your own presets using the DAW preset saving mechanism. The resizable GUI makes life easier though.OneOfManyPauls wrote:seems there was an update in july 2017 - which was after the "regret" posts:dandezebra wrote:I cannot decide on Phobos either. I do get your point and have wondered that myself. With VocalSynth 2 being a new product, I imagine they might not want to create a bunch of new Crossgrade SKU’s for VocalSynth 1. However, with the current Ozone Upgrade sale, that’s definitely not the issue and they have limited it much more than usual. I assume their marketing team is trying to simplify things by not offering too many options but I think they might be underestimating customers’ abilities to figure it out. I’ll talk to them about it.elxsound wrote:It would be easier for the consumer if *ALL* their offers for upgrading/crossgrading were made simultaneously.

Let's hope so Ozone8 n20 launch was a bloody mess and confusing as hell, nearly purchase the wrong pack twice. Was like a "fiddlers market stall"!Uncle E wrote:I do get your point and have wondered that myself. I'm on the fence but even with the discount this is still a bit of an investment.
