Yeah, that caught me out too. There are release notes but I had to navigate to the front page to find them. This is more like an important notice about the new version.

Wait so you open fl, load mdrummer - 10 seconds. Then close fl, open fl again and mdrummer loads quicky? That cannot be mdrummer, because when the process ends, everything is released, no cache or something. So either a disk cache, perhaps your hdd is analyzing the folders, try defragmentation. Or perhaps an antivirus - it may scan the kernel when loaded initially. I'll check on a hdd when possible, but i almost don't have any hdds anymore here
. Btw don't you have mdrummer on a hdd, that isn't used at that moment, so the system could put it into a sleep mode?
Release notes are not the same thing as change log. It informs user about important things he should know before updating. The actual changes are irrelevant for most people from my experience.

I do have the MDrummer library on my HDD now, but all the Melda plugins, including MDrummer, are on my SSD. So is MDrummer still looking for the library, when it starts? Regarding antivirus: I am just using the Windows Defender of Win 10 as my antivirus.MeldaProduction wrote: That cannot be mdrummer, because when the process ends, everything is released, no cache or something. Ok, so it could be the sleep mode, right? If there's not much stuff on the HDD, it's possible that it hasn't been used for some time, and usually after like 10-30 minutes the system powers the HDD of to save energy. Then it takes quite a lot of time it power it up again. MDrummer certainly needs to check the library, but I don't think anything changed from previous version regarding that. Anyways I'll try on my HDD and we'll see.
And more thing to test - before starting MDrummer for the first time, open the explorer and check the library manually, browse a few folders and subfolders, that should do the trick. Then start MDrummer. Does it still take a long time?

I have to admit that I am not 100% sure, if MDrummer behaved like this in the previous versions as well, like Darkstar already confirmed, but I think so. So maybe it's really not something that you have changed for the new version.MeldaProduction wrote:Ok, so it could be the sleep mode, right? I tested to walk through some folders, before starting MDrummer: still ~10 seconds. In my energy saving options I set "save energy for HDD" to 0 seconds and tested it again: ~10 seconds loading of MDrummer after reboot.
Is there anythign else I can test to help you find the problem, if there really is any (which I assume if two other people also had this issue

Hmmm, weird... I'll check, perhaps the drumset designer is scanning the components in the beginning and the HDD caches it... We'll see.

Ok, good news, it was really scanning the components initially, so that's probably what caused the lag on slow drives. The final release will scan "on-demand", hence only when needed.

When I click 'Transient mode' in 'Multi-mode' active preset, my DAW is down.
I didn't check all Multi-mode active preset of all plugins, but I guess they are same.
I've checked on MDistortionMB, MDelayMB, MReverbMB for now.
Currently I'm using FL Studio 20 rc1.
Yes, FL 20 is not officially released, it's release candidate version too.
So I've checked on FL12 too, and there was same problem.
You may check about it.

I ran through the plugins and noticed a few things...not necessarily bugs, just the occasional inconsistency that raised questions
MTurboCompMB has the Upsampling, Pan, AGC, etc. panel on both the left side AND the bottom.
The plugins that have that panel on the bottom (AGC, MAmp, MChannelMatrix, MBandPass, MTransient, MSaturator and MStereoExpander) don't seem to have anything in common. Is there a reason for moving the panel? Could it be a layout option to place the panel on the side or the bottom?
MTurboReverbMB, MTurboCompMB - the Edit button slipped down to the Band tab. Intentional?
MTurboReverbMB has 2 instances of Meters & Subsystems/ Multiparameters and side panel.
MStereoProcessor - the range buttons for the Low-Mid and High-Mid do not respond to right-click reset. Is that a function?
MRhythmizerMB has no Edit button.
MFreeformPhase has no Sampling, AGC, or Limiter. Unnecessary?
MEqualizerLP has default using 2x Upsampling.
MVibrato, MTremelo, MStereoExpander, MRingModulator, MRhythmizer, MOscillator, MNoiseGenerator, MFreqShifter, MChannelMatrix, MBitFun, MAutoPitch, MAutoPan all are missing the Set feature for their AGC. I thought that it might be because they were free, but other free ones have it so possibly it's been overlooked.
I'm about to do the unthinkable and install FLS 20 RC to test 2 RCs at the same time......dumb idea, I know!

werzel: Hehe thanks, but from what I read these are all actually intentional. Don't have time to explain each, but feel free to ask about some specific via email if you really need to know
.
topaz: Hehe actually... the MSpectralDelay licence should be free for 2 weeks
