About the iZotope Creative Bundle/Creative Suit crossgrade confusion: I don't get why some of you decided to complain about iZotope's customer care without contacting them. My experience with iZotope is that their customer care is always great. If you're one of their existing customer they're always super fast to help you out with any product/upgrade related problem (they always emailed me back in less than a day). Example: Yesterday I received their new promo deal for the Creative bundle $199 crossgrade that includes a free later upgrade to creative suit which will include vocal synth 2, mobius, dlly etc. As I already owned trash 2 (part of my previosly purchased music production suite 2) and Iris 2 I just emailed them asking whether there is an option to lower my upgrade fee as I own two out of 4 of the products in the creative bundle. Today customer care got back to me via an email: "Since you own half the products in Creative Bundle, I’d like to offer you a 50% discount on your Creative Bundle purchase." So basically instead of paying $199, I only payed $100 and now I've got Breaktweeker, Stutter Edit and on the day of the release of the new Creative suite (on the 23rd of May) I'll receive the new VocalSynth 2, DDLY Delay, Mobius Filter. I think it's an amazing deal, so I suggest it's well worth trying to contact them about special upgrade path options regarding the Creative Suit.

Going to try this out since I have Trash 2, Iris 2, and ddly. Actually I have 2 DDLY's. One was free, the other came with Trash and Iris as a bundle from Plugin Boutique.ozonepaul wrote:About the iZotope Creative Bundle/Creative Suit crossgrade confusion: I don't get why some of you decided to complain about iZotope's customer care without contacting them. I've been thinking about updating my Ozone 6 to 8, but I don't know if it is worth it. Though the main reason I haven't bothered until now because it always crashed my computer. But my current computer should be able to handle it. Anything amazing about it?

It depends on your definition of sales-gimmick. Most developpers claim that their product is unique or revolutionary. For Phobos, it's the convolution. For Cinemorphx, it's the Morph Animator and Step Animator. Either way, it's basically some sort of effects and/or sounds processing.epiphaneia wrote:That´s a good point (I do own quite a bunch of Sample Logic libraries though... they all sound sort of pretty-good-but-samey to me somehow), would you say that, despite the narrow focus, Phobos sounds *very different* than, e.g., CinemorphX?Feelshallright wrote:I have Phobos. It's a niche library. Just be sure you need that type of sound and that you will use it. If it's what you need, go ahead, you will have fun with it.
If you want more diversity, you might want to look elsewhere. For example, I also have Cinemorphx, which is currently on sale at 149$, and there's a lot of sounds and diversity. There's more sounds morphing together than Phobos.
Does the convolution add a lot of character or is it basically a sales-gimmick on top of a BT sample library?

I think I will try this too. I own most of the stuff from the Creative Suite. It's worth a try.dzilizzi wrote:Going to try this out since I have Trash 2, Iris 2, and ddly. Actually I have 2 DDLY's. Actually nobody complained about their customer care here that I read, but just their marketing practices, which are confusing at times.Feelshallright wrote:I think I will try this too. Anyway I also will reach out to them as that would resolve my issue too.

It seems a great deal! I almost bought it, but I have just checked their website to download the demo first and it uses iLok (which causes problems to Cubase 9 in my system). I already uninstalled all iLok products (that I have great software using it like Eventide plugs)Fleer wrote:Dealio with Group of Forum codeUncle E wrote:75% off McDSP 6050 Ultimate Channel Strip, now $49 instead of $199:

Wow! You must have mojo that I don't. I did the same thing, probably at the same time, except I own VocalSynth, Trash 2 Expanded, Iris 2, AND DDLY. They only gave me a 20% coupon (which I haven't used, of course). I think another email is in their future....ozonepaul wrote:About the iZotope Creative Bundle/Creative Suit crossgrade confusion: I don't get why some of you decided to complain about iZotope's customer care without contacting them...Yesterday I received their new promo deal for the Creative bundle $199 crossgrade that includes a free later upgrade to creative suit which will include vocal synth 2, mobius, dlly etc. As I already owned trash 2 (part of my previosly purchased music production suite 2) and Iris 2 I just emailed them asking whether there is an option to lower my upgrade fee as I own two out of 4 of the products in the creative bundle.
