Actually no, this is how it also works on Unix/Linux. Applications are supposed to do their own sorting, from what I understand. So previously in HFS and so on, Apple had a horrid hack in order to supply ordered lists to apps, whereas with APFS they're fixing that horrid hack and making things more Unix-compliant (if that's a thing even). They won't be "un-fixing" it, devs will need to do it (as so many other times in the past).aMUSEd wrote:I know - so 'fixing' it on a plugin by plugin level isn't really fixing it - it's just working around it.
