My view:
The ones at the bottom are specific for the selected band; the ones to the right are for the overall plug-in (i.e. all bands).werzel wrote:MTurboCompMB has the Upsampling, Pan, AGC, etc. panel on both the left side AND the bottom.
What they have in common is that they are not very tall, so putting the panel on the right would make it very compressed )or leave a lot of empty space in the other panels).werzel wrote:The plugins that have that panel on the bottom (AGC, MAmp, MChannelMatrix, MBandPass, MTransient, MSaturator and MStereoExpander) don't seem to have anything in common. Is there a reason for moving the panel? Could it be a layout option to place the panel on the side or the bottom?
Yes, you can Edit each Band. Essentially you have an editable MturboComp in a Multiband framework.werzel wrote:MTurboReverbMB, MTurboCompMB - the Edit button slipped down to the Band tab. Intentional?
So does MTurboCompMB when you edit a Band; the left-hand panels are for the Band and the right-hand panels are for the overall plug-in.werzel wrote:MTurboReverbMB has 2 instances of Meters & Subsystems/ Multiparameters and side panel.
Range buttons? Not sure which ones you mean.werzel wrote:MStereoProcessor - the range buttons for the Low-Mid and High-Mid do not respond to right-click reset. Is that a function?
Didn't in v11 either.werzel wrote:MRhythmizerMB has no Edit button.
Don't know.werzel wrote:MFreeformPhase has no Sampling, AGC, or Limiter. Unnecessary?
Maybe that's better for LP operationwerzel wrote:MEqualizerLP has default using 2x Upsampling.
Not in the v11 versions either.werzel wrote:MVibrato, MTremelo, MStereoExpander, MRingModulator, MRhythmizer, MOscillator, MNoiseGenerator, MFreqShifter, MChannelMatrix, MBitFun, MAutoPitch, MAutoPan all are missing the Set feature for their AGC. I thought that it might be because they were free, but other free ones have it so possibly it's been overlooked.

MHarmonizerMB's 'keep below' and 'kill below' can't be enabled on rc2 version.
Ambient artist and sound designer to get chickens.

Regarding the MDrummer load up improvement: nothing really changed here. It still needs 8 seconds to load.

Ok, found it, needed to use a slow external drive to do that
- it is the rhythm generator checking the loop directories. I'll try to do something about that, but just a quickie, because it will just have to analyze the loops eventually, whenever you use the rhythm generator... so it's a pointless waste of dev time to be honest. Plus on the SSDs it's like 0 seconds
. I checked on 7.04 and it was actually much slower there.

Vojtek,
I don't need any explanations, I was merely making observations. On a side note...loading EVERY Melda plugin into one of the later FL 12.9.(6?) betas did happen to cause a crash BUT I do not think that I am going to try to recreate the situation. I had left FL open for the entire day and came back to the error message. I think there may have been constant processing going on that caused a nervous breakdown. If YOU would like to attempt a recreation, all I did was load each plugin into an effect slot beginning with insert 1 in the mixer....all the way through until EVERY Melda plugin was included and then I forgot to close FL and went to work.
Good luck with that!
DarkStar,
I was referring to the "nodes" on the Lo-Mid and High-Mid portions of the crossover graph. They seemed to be the only things that I've encountered in Melda that don't respond to a right-click to reset.

Maybe it would be an option to disable the rhythm generator in the settings at all? I never use it and I only use MDrummer in pad mode.MeldaProduction wrote:because it will just have to analyze the loops eventually, whenever you use the rhythm generator...

werzel: I think this could be out of memory, hard to say. Instantiating all plugins would be quite a brutal thing
. But I'll try, could be interesting
. Some time ago I had a few reports that if you leave some plugins on for hours without any signal present, they could crash, but I never managed to actually simulate it... perhaps some sort of underflow leading to zero, becoming -1E-300, taking log -> exception
. No idea
. But I'll try again
.
Tagirijus: That would be quite hard really, the rhythm generator is used in multiple places actually... not just the tab... And since it happens only once after the restart on slow HDD drives it really feels like wasted time. Anyways I optimized it a bit, it was scanning more than it needed, but still it's hard to say how it will behave... We'll see.

Could it be an option for me to just delete all the rhyth generator content ... would this speed up the MDrummer loading time for me?

Well, actually yes. You can just delete the Loops folder contents if the initial slowdown bothers you. Or compress it and then delete, just in case you'd need it in the future

Update on this: RC2 also gets flagged as a false positive but managed to locate it to the setup.exe portion of the big maudioplugins_12_00rc2_setup.exe file (which gets put into C:\Program Files\MeldaProduction ). As that file was only ~10mb I was able to upload the file directly to BitDefender file analysis drop box, so this should hopefully get sorted in the updated signatures in the next day or two...mcbpete wrote:Damnit, I get a false positive with the installer using BitDefender but the .exe is waaaayyy too big to upload to their site...

Hi Voj.
Why all your plugins with Even Harmonic or Soft Saturation are generating a bump below 20Hz?
Thanks.
