Hi guys,
I was experimenting with tuned comb filter feedback and I came up with a preset to generate a cinematic pad ambience for a piano. I uploaded three presets to the online exchange named "Cinematic Piano Maker..."
Here is an audio example:
dry

wet

I didn't make it a fully fledged active preset with nice buttons and all, it's still somewhat in development status, feel free to play around with it and change stuff under the hood. The modulators are most important, they control how it reacts to input dynamics and how the comb frequency is controlled. I created a version that responds to midi input (changes comb frequency when a note is received), and one where you can manually choose (and automate) the comb frequency from a table. This should probably be extended to higher octaves because they sound different.
Cheers, Thorsten

You can also just download the online presets. No obligation to upload anything.
But I can also post the presets here later when I'm at my PC.

You're welcome!
Please tell me how the preset works for you, I think I should add a multiparameter to control input sensitivity.

Very interesting presets.
Is there something that I need to do to get the MIDI note to trigger the frequency? I'm using FL and haven't really worked with Melda's MIDI input much, so feel free to make it as simple as possible!

Extended the release of the follower controlling gain and feedback of comb1 (to my personal taste, of course, not because it was wrong or something like that), added a shy phaser during happy experimenting and eventually routed a cello thru it.ZentralmassivSound wrote:Please tell me how the preset works for you
Well, that was a fine hour of sonic exploration and travelling.
