Another one from my CD "M"
The Buck Stops Here
End of the lies
End of the line
End of the life
That was yours and mine
The buck stops here
It couldn't last
Not like it was
Fooling around
With her just because
The buck stops here
Time and time again I've played the fool to your deceit
Nothing's gonna keep this train from stopping at my feet
Gotta stop right now
Gonna stop and how
You have stopped the last time on my street
Time to move on
For you and I
This is our last
Our one last goodbye
The buck stops here
Time and time again I've played the fool to your deceit
Nothing's gonna keep this train from stopping at my feet
Gotta stop right now
Gonna stop and how
You have stopped the last time on my street
Time to move on

Another one from my CD "Amp It Up"
Heart Attack
Just a little bit of evil in your laugh girl
Just a little bit of evil in your smile
I can't look away from everything you are girl
Someone help me for I walk that final mile
My friends tried to warn me bout your bad intentions
My friends tried to warn me that you were no good
And they told me how you would just break my heart girl
Wish I could just send you right back to the hood
You have to go
That's all I know
Time to end this show
Before you give me a
Heart attack
Heart attack
Heart attack
Heart attack
Now I'm stuck inside a hell of my own making
Now I'm stuck inside a hell of my own blood
Everything I do is wrapped up in your evil
Everything I do it always turns to mud
Time is running out for me to make a clean break
Time is running out for me to get away
Nothing's gonna stop you coming after me girl
Nothing's gonna stop you til my dying day
Repeat Pre-Chorus and Chorus 2x

I listened to Heart Attack. It is a well crafted, catchy song. The opening bass riff reminded me of Utopia's Hammer in My Heart which is cool.
Mix-wise things are a bit thin. I hear vox, leads, drums and bass. It could use some pads to fill out the sound. The drum sounds are not the best. The robovox are better than I expected.
You should send these songs to an indie band that needs material.

Eh, people keep telling me I should do all sorts of things with my songs. I just don't care anymore. I'm 60 years old. I'm not a starry eyed 21 year old kid anymore with dreams of being a rock star. I do music because I love music. No other reason.Frantz wrote:I listened to Heart Attack. It is a well crafted, catchy song. But thanks for the listen and the suggestion.

From my new project "Raising Kane" that I'm working on with some assistance from somebody over at Gearslutz. Project is loosely based on the kind of music he does.
Get In The Groove
Lights are low
Everything on show
Inching closer, you know how it goes
On the floor
Wanting more
You and me heading out that door
Get in the groove
If it makes you move
My hearts on fire
Come take me higher
Get in the groove
And take it real smooth
We've got the night now
Let me show you how
Feel the storm
Getting warm
From this night all things are born
We can dance
Find romance
If we dare to take a chance
Repeat Chorus
Instrumental Break
Repeat Chorus
Outro To Fade

wagtunes,
Thank you for the recent review! Now your "Get In The Groove" song: OK, I had to google YOHIO and Cyber Songman. Apparently YOHIO is a real person, and Cyber Songman is just software? The vocals sound fairly synthetic, though I actually think they work pretty well in the song. Though I could probably only listen to so many songs with that exact vocal, in a row. So there is a real YOHIO person singing on this song? OK, on second listen, I think I hear the 2 separate vocals: synthetic and real. There must be a fair amount of effects on the real vocal? Instrumentally, I think everything sounds pretty good. Nothing to gripe about. Melodies are good, and I actually like the song, despite your disclaimer at the start of the thread (ha ha). Carry on! There are at least 2 Roselles in the US of A. Which state are you in? It took me 15 minutes to figure out who the vocals remind me of. Remember the Buggles? I like a couple of songs by them: "Radio Killed the Radio Star", and a song with the lyrics "clean clean".

Actually, YOHIO is the Vocaloid version of the real singer. Vocaloid is definitely an acquired taste. Most people here don't like it and that's understandable.aaron aardvark wrote:wagtunes,

Anyway, glad you at least liked the song. Thanks for the listen.

The entire "Reflecting Pool" CD is an acquired taste. But thanks for the listen. You'd probably like my "Once Upon A Time" CD much better.woggle wrote:really like the opening minute of PTSD - not so much after (which you would guess given my own music). But good production quality and nice changes

An instrumental from my CD "Guitars From Hell" using VSTs Real and Vir2. There are no actual guitars on this song.

2nd track from my current WIP CD "Raising Kane"
Give Me The Night
Out of the day
Comes a soul for the taking
Coming to play
All his morals forsaking
Nothing to lose
Bets it all on a long shot
What's there to choose
Either ice cold or red hot
Darkness ahead
To the bright light he walks on
Nothing to dread
With his prayers now all talks gone
Soon he arrives
Where he always was meant to
Dead man he thrives
As his money is spent too
Give me the night
Give me the night
Give me the night
Give me the night with you
Through to the end
He will find what his soul needs
Foe or a friend
On the flesh of man he feeds
Be what you will
In the end death will take you
Destiny runs
As his money is spent too
Repeat Chorus
Instrumental Break
Repeat Chorus

Hi wags,
cool tune and good composition!
Sounds like from the 80s for me (which isn't bad at all), but: Of course it's different! The arrangement and the mix are special and good.
Special because of its artificialness and the panning, which works very well. This is very tight and fun. I also like that it's compact and so transparent.
well done
