You don't, unless you uninstall one of them.

Guess you may start nagging Proppellerhead support to add a "Hide this device from the list" option, since that is already happening with others that have a RE and VST version.

Edit: thanks to starflakeprj for reminding me that there's Reason's Plugins window where you can disable any of the scanned VSTs.

If your DAW supports 64bit VST 2.4 and you didn't tick any option to "Show me only the VST 3 versions" anywhere on it, then it should show up.

...also, make sure your DAW is scanning the folder where you installed the .dll file.

I think that'sbecause the filter isn't a filter at all , just like reakor 'razor' , linplug spectral etc . ..the filter is just a selection of organized stacked partials moving over time , to mimic a subtractive filter ( and more ).
It could well be there also added a standard ' real ' subtractive filter ..haven't tried auropa yet

Mattias, as a customer I appreciate the way Propellerheads and Reason is moving under your direction as product manager. I strongly suspect Europa as a VST and Reason supporting VSTs is directly due to your advocating for it. On top of that I received Europa for free to use in Reaper! So thanks, you probably don't hear that enough from people online.

The thing that I'm finding more interesting, while reading this thread is that everyone is asking for older native Reason instruments (or other PH REs) as VSTs while totally dismissing the most obvious thing that Europa as a VST/AU might be hinting at:

The possibility of (any) Rack Extension to be built as a VST/AU/WebASM app/etc...

The other thing you should note is that we also released Europa on the web today. From a futuristic and tech standpoint, that’s actually an even bigger deal than the VST/AU. What you are seeing there is an actual Rack Extension instrument running in a web browser. We didn’t recompile Europa or adapt it to the web to make this work, we made the web adapt to us. This is to a large extent possible thanks to some really exciting efforts by a very smart team at Google.

Yes people are overlooking the web player version they released. It is brilliant!
Seems to me that Props are making a move into a DAW and ecosystem fully open and available in RE, VST, AU, IOS APP and online. They have already hinted that they are working on a mobile version of Reason so the whole thing will be available anywhere you go on any device.
A fully functioning version of Reason on the web would be just nuts!

Actually, I believe Ernst and the current product team had this roadmap (and more to come) for a while, even before the new investment team coming into the picture so that might also explain why they're simply in a "you guys keep on doing what you do best and we'll keep out of your way" stance.

But that's just me thinking out loud

This is great actually, and the maximum size of the GUI is just ideal for me. I hope Reason will get this treatment in the near future so I can consider using it for other things than playing back my old projects.

Most Android apps are a Java wrapper around WebKit. Using WebASM as a RE target might mean all rack extensions will eventually work on mobile platforms... Interesting stuff here.

First impressions in regard to sound, GUI, and CPU-use are very positive. I did have one crash with Mac Bitwig just after first load, but Europa has been solid since. Highlighting to NI that if PH can find a way to seamlessly convert REs to VST, then you really can try much harder with Reaktor ensembles.

Hi! We've not seen any issues like this, make sure you've copy/pasted it correctly. Double check it in a text editor if you're unsure. It should be one long license number, no spaces or line breaks.

checked everything. tried again several times. with and without dashes and no spaces but still doesn't work!

FTR, I was really looking forward to this. Reason makes some of the best stuff. Thor is my favorite synth that I don't own.

Hopefully, one day, the issues will get worked out and this will work in Cubase 7.

One can hope.
