You have been able to disable VST plugins from showing since day one when VST support came.koshdukai wrote:You don't, unless you uninstall one of them.aMUSEd wrote:Awesome
So how do I stop it showing twice in the Reason browser (as device and plugin)?
Guess you may start nagging Proppellerhead support to add a "Hide this device from the list" option, since that is already happening with others that have a RE and VST version.

Wags.. I have Cubase 7 installed here on Windows 7 64 bit. I am just scanning plugins now and will let you know if I am able to get it running in Cubase 7 - I haven't launched Cubase 7 in a couple of years so the rescan will take a bit of time. ... it is working in 8.5,9 and 9.5 on my machine.
wagtunes wrote:FTR, I was really looking forward to this. Reason makes some of the best stuff. Thor is my favorite synth that I don't own.
Hopefully, one day, the issues will get worked out and this will work in Cubase 7.
One can hope.

It works here with Studio One 3.56 on Windows 7 64.
GUI wise, I find the red on black just very very eye straining, and even though it scales larger, the modulation section knobs are still too small and this is still at the point where it's over scaling the interface of the DAW.
Sound wise, it sounds like Reason's interpolated low quality sound.
Really... you're probably best comparing this with UHE's free Zebralette synthesizer, before you consider dropping money on this. Not only does that free synth have a better and clearer GUI, but is much more powerful, is imop better sounding, and you can also re-skin it .

@anosou and other people having issues while entering the license:
I'm on a Mac and for daily security reasons I only work with a standard user account (no admin rights). But admin rights are mandatory for finishing the registration process.
So follow these steps (on Mac):
1. Open prefs pane and upgrade your user to administrator
2. Restart Mac
3. Open Reason & Europa, finish the registration successfully
4. Revert the changes made in 1.
Done!
Maybe for Win users it's a similar issue?

To be totally honest... that was exactly what i thought when demoing it. Simply reminds me of Thor, Subtractor, and Maelstroem.THE INTRANCER wrote: Sound wise, it sounds like Reason's interpolated low quality sound.
Sound quality really has come a long way in the VST world.
Not sure why you'd think that Zebralette is more powerful than this though. It isn't.

Also trying to find a matching font for my NKS template, anyone know what it is (the one I used is the closet I had on my system but it's not entirely right, too angular)?

You know, there's simply something bland sounding about their synths. Dunno what it is really. Lack of oversampling? Spire e.g. sounds miles better to me than their included synths, or Europa as well.

I love Spire, but I wouldn't compare it to Europa. I'd compare Europa more to Serum or Thorn, or a variety of other wavetable synths. Someone A/B'd a wavetable being processed in Serum, Europa, and Expanse over at Reasontalk. After their testing method was fixed (they couldn't get the settings in Expanse figured out), the end result was: virtually no difference in sound.chk071 wrote:You know, there's simply something bland sounding about their synths. But... sound quality is subjective these days, IMHO.

You can oversample it if you want.THE INTRANCER wrote:It works here with Studio One 3.56 on Windows 7 64.

However personally I have yet to find a VST with similar sound quality. Europa is just stellar.
