Hi folks,

In the mods section, it's possible to use an LFO as an envelope, and to have it not trigger when you play legato.

But i can't work out how to achieve the same thing with mod envelope.

So, if i use an env. to modulate something, it'll always trigger regardless of whether i play staccato or legato.

Any ideas?

Set the envelope to "start single"

Doesn't work!

So just to be clear, i'm using a mod env. to trigger a hardware external filter.

Regardless of what setting i choose (start single, start forced, whatever), it'll re-trigger the env. each time, whether or not i play legato!

Just tested it and it works perfectly here.
I don't own any hardware, so I could only test it with software.
I recommend that you do the same as if it works in the software you will know it something to do with hardware.

Have you tried using Bitwig yet?
It is an amazing DAW and perfect for integrating with hardware.
It has hardware instrument and effect modules with multiple sync, midi and CV options.
The modulation system is very good.

Thanks, i've been planning to try it.

Cubase is my main DAW, but i'm running Ableton at the same time on a different soundcard for some extra stuff (using it for the modular and also treating it like an external FX unit)

So indeed Bitwig would be a contender to replace Ableton in my set-up.
