Getting back into Tracktion after a pretty long break (T3 was the last i used for any serious projects), and some big changes to my workflow. I've been trying out a few other DAWs, but i really like Tracktion and don't want to switch if i can help it. I have a few questions though:

1. is there a shortcut key for arming the input of the currently selected track. I'm using a bunch of external hardware, trying to streamline my recording workflow, and am trying to avoid using a mouse as much as possible. This seemingly important shortcut appears to be missing. Any plans to add it? Related : if i bought a cheap midi control surface (eg. Korg NanoKontrol 2) do the track arming buttons work from there?

2. I have a touch screen monitor- which works *okay* with tracktion/waveform for stuff that i cant do with physical buttons. Generally, the problem is that everything is a bit too small, and its easy to hit the wrong thing accidentally. Is there any way to make the UI more fat-finger friendly? eg. user definable default track heights, bigger buttons/text etc. etc.

3. is there any kind of reference for the javascript scripting? i'm an experienced programmer and feel there's a lot i could use this for... if i only knew what functionality existed.

4. The fullscreen button (top right corner) always seems to fill the first screen of my PC, not the one Waveform is currently in (i have 3 monitors). Is this a bug, or is there some way to change it?

Thanks!

I've got this toy and it works out of box as expected except one of additional buttons (I can't remember which one - it may be a matter of reconfiguration in the Korg software). But arm/solo/mute buttons, volume faders and transport buttons work ok. This Korg must be assigned to Mackie Control Universal in the Waveform's "Control Surface" settings.

good to know - thanks!

Re 2: the UI is resizable now so that could help with touch screen work.
Re 3: maybe check the Compilation of Working Macros thread here, not a reference but plenty of useful info and macros.

You can also check out Admiral Bumblebee's Tracktion review. He dives into every nook and cranny.

Got the Nanokontrol yesterday. Like you said, just using the default settings almost everything seems to work well. Haven't got inserting markers or the prev/next track yet but havent spent any real amount of time with it yet (and havent looked at the editor at all). Pretty happy so far as it seems to do exactly what I was hoping.

Ah, yes, marker doesn't work correctly. But it was never an issue for me.

As goes for the track buttons they work correctly but their function is that if you have more than 8 tracks in your DAW and want for example arm track number 12, then you click "right" track button to virtually scroll the tracks on the NanoKontrol. Without this feature it wouldn't be possible to set parameters for more than 8 tracks.

ok, that makes more sense than what i was expecting it to do - I hadn't got as far as trying it with more than 8 tracks yet.
Markers probably aren't a big deal for me either, but i'll probably poke around and see if there's anything to customize to make it work.
