when you can't use a plugin you paid a few hundred dollars for due to an iLok problem you'll know what Mr Frowny is ALL about. We've done this discussion to death.

The depth of Aether is stunning though. I'm hoping Aether 2 is half the CPU also, and cheap to upgrade.
tip o' the hat to sqigls !..
BTW, are those additional presets worth to buy? Breeze2 includes plenty of factory presets.

i thought about it last night, there's 850 presets in the 4 packs!!
...overwhelming a tad
Sometimes I feel like I'm saving a lot of time if I just make a new preset from scratch.
There's some stunning presets in there though.
The titles and categories are descriptive and sometimes kinda left (or should i say right) of center, so most people should be able to navigate through the goldmine and find exactly what they're looking for.

I tried the demo and realized that I really liked some of the presets from the expansion packs, so it was definitely worth it for a little bit more $ I didn't realize quite how many presets came in the expansions (the demo just has a subset) - so now i'm swimming in presets

It's really a great bargain and no brainer IMO to add the preset packs which cost $25 in the bundle. It immediately replaced most of my reverb stuff.

The UJAM flash sale is also available at Bestservice, Time & Space and Plugin Boutique.
(Which finally gives me an opportunity to use all these T&S Loyalty points and T&S coupons I could never use because they do not allow double coupons.)

Thanks! Saved $6 at T&S on Silk - the only one I don't have.mgw38 wrote:The UJAM flash sale is also available at Bestservice, Time & Space and Plugin Boutique.

If you don't play guitar, these are great. I find they sound a lot more real than a lot of the others. At least if you change up the rhythms every bar or so and sometimes multiple switches in a bar, I've been very happy with it. The keyswitches make it really easy and they change the rhythms just enough that it sounds like the normal change by a player. Of course, it is only good for the rhythm guitar parts.

I could use a rhythm guitar in my tracks once in a while. Any suggestions on what would work best for somebody on the electronic end of things? I was looking at Amber and Sparkle and maybe Silk.dzilizzi wrote:If you don't play guitar, these are great. I find they sound a lot more real than a lot of the others. Not sure if I'm just failing to find info on UJAM's site... For the drum VSTi's can you add your own MIDI patterns or at least have them read MIDI tracks, do they output MIDI or just audio, and can you add your own kits and kitpieces? Or is it all locked down?
I suppose I could download the demos and find out for myself, but, y'know, bandwidth issues...

Iron is more metal but still can do pop/rockmgw38 wrote:I could use a rhythm guitar in my tracks once in a while. Any suggestions on what would work best for somebody on the electronic end of things? Sparkle is more pop/rock
Amber is an acoustic guitar. Sounds good, but I'm thinking you would want Iron or Sparkle for Electronic music. I'd almost go with Sparkle, but really they sound fairly similar and you can add guitar rig or similar to get a different sound. You can download them for 30 days.
I just downloaded Silk, so not sure how it sounds. But I'm thinking it is more singer-songwriter/pop/country-ish - so not very Electronic.
Just my opinion though.

Not a good deal, unless you're broke...krabbencutter wrote:Waves introducing a Pick what you want + Rent to own bundle:

Doing the math, this turns out to cost you around 37$ per plugin, if you also count in the 3 'free' plugins.
And looking at the available plugins this is imho not a very good value. Because each and every one of them will be on sale for 29$ multiple times within a timespan of 24 months.
