I suppose Tal appreciates this thread getting bumped due to soundsets, better than being forgotten

There were several if I remember correctly, I no longer followed Mod as I felt it was immature...Lotuzia wrote:What issues ?fluffy_little_something wrote:Have all the little issues been solved by now?

Hmmm maybe you should give it another go. It was mature enough for me to make approx 30mn of audio demos, including 7 minitracks (see the page beforefluffy_little_something wrote:There were several if I remember correctly, I no longer followed Mod as I felt it was immature...Lotuzia wrote:What issues ?fluffy_little_something wrote:Have all the little issues been solved by now?
All playing in real time with up to 6 instances per project, and not a single problem afaiexperienced. A lot of things were fixed since the initial release, but I think it's better you test them by yourself.
Tal developper is very attentive to the feedback and dedicated to his work, and still now we're discussing a few things that could be changed.

Are you kidding? Or do you truly only show up here to post links to your preset banks? There are numerous posts in this thread about issues with the plugin, from the amp envelope clicking constantly until you increase the release time, to the Delay effect beat values being completely wrong, to the LFO beat-time values being completely wrong, to cable animations behaving differently in different DAWs, to issues people had with the size of the envelopes in the UI after the third Env was added....
but I guess if you're only here to sell presets to KVR readers, you can ignore / avoid such posts and then blindly ask, "What issues?"

Yes, I felt like it was not solid enough back then. I am not blaming the developer, though, after all, it was a beta version...mholloway wrote:Lotuzia wrote:What issues ?fluffy_little_something wrote:Have all the little issues been solved by now?

I was just wondering if all the issues have been resolved by now. Haven't tried it in weeks...

I politely ask the poster what issues he had right ? ( Note : politely) to see if I could answer and help him. Capito ?
I didn't have a single problem with clicks in enveloppes. The wrong LFO/Delay display values were not a problem either ( I have ears for that), and afaik, this was fixed a few versions ago. But i -truly- understand it could be a problem for those who cant set a correct delay value without reading it on a GUI. I use only ONE daw, and the cables were perfect in this one. And so that you know, I ASKED Tal to add the third enveloppe, and was very happy he did it, because otherwise, a good part of my presets would NOT have been possible, and I have zero problems operating smoothly the -now 3- enveloppes in my DAW.
So that imo your guess is wrong.
Now if polite you could stay, prefer I would.

Hi Fluffy and all,
I'll not teach anything to anyone but... to check what are all the fixes applied to the bugs, it is simple : just by visiting the webpage of the plugin and check the changelog. For all the TAL instruments, it is always the section named "History" at the bottom of the dedicated webpage. Example : the section"History" at the bottom of this webpage:
https://tal-software.com/products/tal-mod
And for TAL-Mod the list of fixes is long...
Then... is an issue definitively fixed ? It is possible to check it only by trying oneself. Because each user has a different environment and different behaviors with a same plugin.
This is a first thing. Now the second thing:
About the presets offered or sold by sound designers, even if myself I know perfectly (as many users) the different synthesis techniques and make my own patches, I like to discover what do the others and their ideas which are not always ideas I would have had myself. It can help me to sometimes discover some abilities or combinations that I had not even tried myself. And I also always think of the noobs... who are very happy to learn to use a synth not only by the theory and by personal experiments but also by the practice of others and by taking their presets as start points to new personal presets by changing some values to reach totally different results.
After all, it is that way that the man learns from the practice of the others without always reinventing the wheel, and this since the man is man and it will be this as long as the man will be man.
And without forgetting that there are also many musicians who don't want to struggle with the technical sides of the synths and just want to play and compose with them by focusing their mind exclusively on the music theory. Even some famous musicians have always had sound designers for them so that they focus on their music and not on the knobs and the techniques of synthesis. So if even some professional musicians do that way, it is perfectly acceptable that noobs (or impaired persons) prefer to use presets rather than plunging their hands in the engine. After all... how many drivers know how works the engine of their car ? It doesn't prevent them to be excellent drivers.

Clicky envelopes are not a bug , that just how the nature of physics work .
And yes the wrong delay times ( labeling ) is indeed a bug ..which can be found on all of tal synths ..think patrick needed aa crash course in triplets versus dotted timing
The envelopes do what they do = multiplying a dc signal ( env) with an AC signal ( audio ) , yes theyare small , but that's a compromie that had to be made .
I am stil not 100% convinced about their behaviour , I reall y prefer tal uno x envelopes .there is sa noticeable difference in the decaying part ( even when set to exponential/log and everything in between )
Other then that , I would say talmod is bugfree and behaves splendidly
