Waveform 8 and the MIDI Chord Player issue

Hey All,

So I managed to buy a ROLI Seaboard Block a few months ago and have been ogling the included
Waveform 8. I like the lower price and its feature set, especially the tools it includes for creating music. I was going to upgrade to Waveform 9 for more features in that area. But...

When I setup MIDI Chord Player on my Mac, I've found the Key Switch Modifiers aren't working unless I use my mouse key to hold the switch.

On the ROLI SB, the chord sounds would hit some kind of permanent sustain using Collective & I'd have to shut the project down to get out of it. So I figured the MIDI Chord Player can't handle MPE. Fine.

So I loaded up a USB Keystation 88s and no more glitchy/infinite sustain to worry about. However, the Key Switch Modifiers are still ignored! When I play the Key Switch Modifier keys on my MIDI controller, it plays the notes. It doesn't seem to understand that these are key switches, not meant to be played. I thought that was why it had an overlay on the graphic.

Can someone help me out here? I googled around & read the docs, but google didn't turn up anything. I watched the training video but it looked like when he played his key switch notes, they were not being played with 3 notes (because when you hit 3 notes in the key switches, the switches won't activate).

I really hope someone can help with this. Overall, Waveform looks like a great, feature rich product, but seeing one simple player malfunctioning right out of the box makes me cringe about upgrading to Waveform 9.. :(

This sounds odd. The Chord Player isn't compatible with MPE but it should work with a standard MIDI keyboard. Are you sure the key-switch notes you're playing are in the correct octave as shown on the key overlay?

There's a video here which might help you get setup?
