Can I change the label reading to whom my U-he products are "registered to ..."?

Strange question perhaps, but I'd like to make YouTube videos which involve my DAW and various U-he FX & synths. My feeling is it'd be best to keep my real name from appearing--which I guess will ultimately be fruitless once I become ultra popular and I'm forced in to a life of fame. Until then though, can I change the display of whom my U-he products are "registered to ..."?
I've messed with the license files, like "com.u-he.Uhbik.user.txt" and it would appear the serial is a hash of my name. Which means, the registration breaks if I change it. Is there perhaps a way to set an alias to display instead? Alternately, if there's a way to display nothing, this would work too.
Advice? Thoughts?

(You won't believe how many people we have enjoyed to ridicule on YouTube who were using a crack, as seen in the "registered to" field. It's invaluable, we won't change it).

Use censorship bars in your videos.

Okay. Sounds workable. I'll check it out later on.Urs wrote:Load a preset, e.g. save the init as "MyCompanyBlog" and load that.
True, I could do that. Although, censorship bars are kinda ... evil.EvilDragon wrote:Use censorship bars in your videos.
Sry, couldn't resist.

Censorship bars serve up drinks that all have expletive names, which are censored, of course. Basically, the menu is a guessing game--which is actually pretty fun! Although, the trouble then is that people's creative minds come up with even worse things. Which is why their thoughts need to be censored as well. This part is done via chemicals in the drinks, sort of like Starbucks, but not meant to make people addicted.
like how I slipped that in?
Oh, and it's also a franchise. PM me details.

You do realize that if you censor your name, people will think that you pirated it.
So that's probably not the best idea.

Silly enough, I was even going to use a classic pirate name.

I always wondered how the people using their soundware/whatever moniker managed to get their plugins registered to their trademark name. E.g. Sadowick Productions. Or did they actually ask the devs to get it registered to that name?

As long as we know who you are, we're happy to help. We just need something that resembles a real name, i.e. is reasonably long and has a space in it.chk071 wrote:I always wondered how the people using their soundware/whatever moniker managed to get their plugins registered to their trademark name.
