@rodanmusic, Awesome!!! Can you PM a mod to pin that up?

BTW, are you sure the last 2 pictures are low- and hi-res, because they look pretty much identical to me :)

Yeah I believe so. I don't think the difference is as noticeable with these screenshots. I imagine in Low Resolution Bitwig is running at 1920x1080 or something similar. Going from 2560x1440 to 1920x1080 I wouldn't expect to see much difference.

However on my 5k iMac there is a slightly more noticeable difference when going from High Res to Low Res. It's still not that bad though.

I can switch out the pictures later tonight when I get home.

I will PM a mod and see if they want to pin it.

Does not work here on 4K. It is exactly the same resolution - which is pretty logical: Bitwig uses it very own JAVA based gui engine and base framework, for which the apple option has no function at all

It works!! I can use Bitwig again!!!

Here's another comparison.
It simply looks like 1.3.whatever, before we had HighDPI support. After 10 minutes I was totally used to it, there actually parts that I find much better distinguished.

What zoom setting do you have in Bitwig?

Indeed, your comparison looks like you wrote. Did the same, pretty sure it is identical on 4k.

Yeah it’s possible it’s something else but I will play with it again tonight.

However java still has to access the OS to perform different functionality so even if they did use a custom java engine it still is tied to the systems operating system and what it provides to the java virtual machine

Oh wow, now it works! Many thanks, you really saved my current music plans! Such great, using a macos bug to enable low res :)

Either I did not get the manual, or I made it slightly different, so I now actually can check "run in lowres". Copied it two times to the desktop.

Yeah it took me a few tries to get it to work properly. I almost gave up but then it worked.

I wonder if it allows you to switch the checkbox because you set the magnify parameter to YES as well. I think mine is set to NO

It's the sampler (loads in the Drum Machine container), it usually, but not always, defaults to keytrack. I don't know why, or if it can be turned off, (not that I know of) but I'm hoping the updated sampler that's coming takes care of that. viewtopic.php?f=259&t=507156

yeah i can't find anywhere to turn it off. i emailed bitwig support but they haven't got back with me yet about it. its super annoying since it pretty much makes the sample-preview feature not work at all.
