I wish disable this, because best service engine and magix indepencde sampler do not start correct when quantize beat is choose. it seem when press play the cursor is move 1-2 ms later after beat and so when quantize is on, they delay sound start to next beat. when jump from out pointer to in pointer in loop work correct. only play(i start with space bar) is too late
also when record it is often usefull to start 1 bar before to hear the bridge.
I use the option "return cursor to start position when play stop" .but with and without it problem is in.
in loop mode when play cursor is outside loop, play move the cursor to in pointer and start.disable

I'm struggling a little bit to understand what the problem you're describing is...
Are you say when you press play, there is a 1-2ms delay between the time of pressing play and hearing output? Is this just your audio buffer size? If you vary the audio buffer size, does this delay vary?
Is this just on a normal track with the instrument on? If you have plugins with latency or Racks, there will be a delay as the plugins are PDC'ed.

this have nothing to do with audio buffer. when i disable in engine the input quantize beat all work ok. quantize beat is usefull so you need not exact press key in time. sequence start at next beat or in case of start play it should start on play immidiate. in cubase work always. wy can not the play pointer start in loop mode too, on position it is. see video at sec 58 i disable quant and all work
you can download besservice engine for free and the demos here. in titan 2 there is arranger use. you can switch on in quick edit can switch an arranger and in pro edit can enable quantize and hold

Can I just clarify that this only happens if you start with the transport cursor outside of the marked region?
(If so I think this is to be expected as the playback position is updated on a timer in case you drag the marks during playback).
And if this is the case, why not just position the transport at the start of the marked region when playing back?
If you have that looped, what's the point of having the transport out to the left?
I'm just trying to get to grips with the problem here to see how common a use case and hence how wide-spread it is...

this happen also when playback pointer is on in marker. as i told cubase work, and i test with studio 1 4 and here it work not when play pointer is on start bar exact. but in studio one i can just position the play pointer 1 beat before and then start. then it work
I do live records and when i record a part i set play pointer 1 bar before loop start, and i mostly record 2-4 bar patterns so i can when reach loop start add new events faster. waveform have no count in i see in manual. but this doesnt matter, i need no count in. set the play pointer 1 bar before record place is good enough. work on all DAW only waveform not
