Hmm. Wondering if it would be over-indulgent to pickup Magnetite while it's on sale, as well as Wow Control later this year.

Make sure you demo it properly as you’re stuck with it if you change your mind...Tappistry wrote:Hmm. Wondering if it would be over-indulgent to pickup Magnetite while it's on sale, as well as Wow Control later this year.
Black Rooster has a no transfer policy.

I've already demoed Wow Control thoroughly. It's probably one of the only plugins that made me giggle like an idiot because I had so much fun with it.

Anyone looking for Overloud’s Rematrix, I’ve got an unused voucher for 50% off.
I believe it’s a 1 time use, so if you use it please just let your fellow KVR users know:
I just bought the Retroverb and MSP IRs from Morevox. I’ve been wanting the NI Reflektor library outside of Reflektor and this was the right price point for that.

Personally, I dont agree at all. The explanation from SM is plausible and they seem to be mindful to avoid a reoccurrence. This doesnt stop me from recommending AB Magic which is on sale now. I hope folks read for themselves and make up their own mindsjbarish wrote:Anyone that buys another Sample Magic product after reading the above, has to be insane.jsp1979 wrote:I saw on another KVR thread that Stacker is no longer sold.dermage wrote:Uncle E:

If you contract out development and then can't take that code base to new developers and have them continue then you aren't doing a very good job of "managing" your software development. No excuses about how big you are mitigate this, you simply weren't prepared for the task and it reflects on your reputation as a reliable vendor. My advice, stick to your core competencies.Kurdish Mayfield wrote:Personally, I dont agree at all. The explanation from SM is plausible and they seem to be mindful to avoid a reoccurrence. So, for me, it is a red flag and one that I readily apply to companies that aren't themselves developers. In general, I'm reluctant to part with cash for plugins from garage companies where the main developer isn't a principal in the firm. Now, that's not to say that I wouldn't buy sample libraries if that's their main line of work, but, this IS the problem with small companies that lack that skill trying to enter the plugin market. It's not that uncommon, didn't Dave Smith run into this problem with his guitar looping plugin? I also think that Plugivery has this problem since Bernie's passing, I'm not sure, but, their inability to update old codebases is a concern and one that drives a lack of confidence in them on my part.
Did they explain what happened, sure, is it still their responsibility to do a better job and should we still consider it a failure in execution, absolutely.
