But how do you make a pad that have overlapping velocity mapping and pick a layer randomly for more realistic result?
Probably picture explains itself.

Thanks.

It will require split velocity range where 1 sample, 2 samples, 3 samples overlapping and open simpler/sampler in Instrument Rack to select Chain by random LFO, right?Trancit wrote:I don´t know a better way ...so:
Depends with what your are playing (Sampler, Native Synths or VSTi) I would automate or randomize (via M4L LFO with a random waveform and a slow rate) the Sample/Chain Selector...
I will adopt the idea when I'm going to make complex layers. I'm currently trying to make a ordinary drum pads. With a busy pattern with many overlapping notes, I would split it up on multiple tracks where you can select, which notes are going onto which "Layer")...
I think, this is the easiest way... there you have much better control to get exactly, what you are after respectfully, which notes are played by which sound
Yeah....Or simply use a VSTi like Kontakt that can play random samples...
There are 2 ways I can imagine...tooneba wrote:

Nevertheless, this method works brilliant for i.e. pads and leads and gives nice controlled variation...I will adopt the idea when I'm going to make complex layers. I'm currently trying to make a ordinary drum pads.
