NI Guitar Rig and Tracktion, weird problem

DLd the demo of Guitar Rig and tried it in (full) Tracktion as a VST. It doesn't work "live" or while recording, it only works when playing back something I've already recorded. Makes it hard to record the right thing when you can't hear the effected version!
It works as expected in standalone mode and when used as a VST or DX inside Sonar 3 Producer.
Any ideas?

That doesn't explain why it works fine in Sonar. I don't think this is a demo limitation, I think it's a Traction incompatibility.j_T wrote:That's what it says on the download pageDisabled are: total recall, Save/Load preset banks, audio recorder.

Just tried NI Guitar Rig myself in Tracktion. "end to end" is a must if you want direct sound. Must say that it has a great sound. I have a Line 6 Guitarport and I think Guitar Rig has a similar sound quality.

Hmm I used all these apps with no problem.
I was dissapointed by NI Guitar Rig.
I ended up buying Amplitube.
Great if you like Tube amplifiers.

I'm sure you can construct far more intresting stuff with a few free fx and the rackfilters. the latencie you will have anyway.
500$ for a few distortions, delays etc
I have tried it and I have not reached the 30minute demo limit because it was already uninstalled.
I keep My old boss and roland racks

My experience is that it just doesn't work well with Tracktion.
I've used in standalone mode and Digital Performer 4 and 4.12. In DP it worked flawlessly; I was blown away at how cool the plugin is. It gets my vote for best AudioUnit plugin right now.
I love Tracktion, but GR just doesn't work worth a darn in it. My biggest frustration was that it would "drop" the midi controller assignments, regardless of saving them to disk, and/or reloading them fresh, directly from disk.
It simply appears as if this plugin was designed to work properly with Tracktion.
Again, use it with DP for best results (as far as Mac OSX).

Thanks
I didn't do the illustrations myself though.
I like the place where you live. I've been in Cornwall roughly a year ago - liked it very much: such a wild sea, a lot of wind, fresh air, space...
