Hi, u-he ! and thanks for this great delay !
I'm played it with my guitar and find the "freeze knob" a wonderful function to produce "delayed loops" and continue to play without destroy that loop.
But, unfortunately, this knob is not midi linkable (from what I know...), it's damaging live performances and creations sessions.
Could you add this knob (and eventually this [!] and maybe the "key") to the midi controls ?
In my point of view that will be a great improvement for creativity!
In any case thanks for your great job!

All those parameters are already MIDI learnable. Just click the cogwheel in the upper right corner of the plugin to enter the MIDI learn page.elkaïs wrote:But, unfortunately, this knob is not midi linkable (from what I know...), it's damaging live performances and creations sessions.

You just have to make sure that your host can send MIDI data to effect plugins.
That QA guy from planet u-he.

Bought it. Not many delays convince me but this is a very nice one.
+1 to introduce an extra mode for classic wet ducking
Side note: the payment link does not work when the browser is set to not accept cookies. (My online banking works perfectly without cookies. )

Not our area, that's Share-It's system. It's always been like that, and I doubt they'll change their checkout system anytime soon.Stefken wrote:the payment link does not work when the browser is set to not accept cookies.

Sure, but U-he decided to use THIS service.#rob wrote:Not our area, that's Share-It's system. .Stefken wrote:the payment link does not work when the browser is set to not accept cookies.
You can't sell a car and when problems with the gearbox arise, say: we didn't make the gearbox, right.
If you can't change it, you can always leave clear instructions as a workaround.

U-he doesn't sell the payment service. In other words, a gearbox is a part of the product itself, and something a customer has already paid for in your example. In turn, if a potential customer has a problem with a payment service that facilitates buying some product in the first place, that's a different thing.Stefken wrote:Sure, but U-he decided to use THIS service.

More specifically: if a customer voluntarily chooses to block all cookies when browsing the web, to the extent of not allowing them even for a single session (i.e. all cookies erased immediately afterwards) in the special case of using a known payment service for purchasing a product, that's very different from the gearbox example indeed.

No, it's not and U-he can answer for themselves. I was not talking to you.Guenon wrote:Stefken wrote:that's very different from the gearbox example indeed.
I also know the solution. How do you think i paid?
But other people might run into the same problem.
( And U-he might even lose sales because of it).

Oh but now you are, see.Stefken wrote:I was not talking to you.
Considering the extent Share-It is used for online purchases like this, I'm sure U-he has this under control and knows that the potential lost sales -- from people who block all cookies and don't want to do anything about it in order to buy a product they want -- are minuscule.Stefken wrote:I also know the solution. Okay, carry on

With ColourCopy at the end of a chain, with an interesting preset
that is nice with sustaining sounds, as well as having typical
taps for stabs/pluks, I preceded it with the z3ta+ 1.5 multi-effects plugin,
as it provides over 700 easy-to-access synth effects-chain presets,
and for input sound, I chose guitaring into a
high-gain amp model from a Fender Mustang usb amp,
all hosted in the latest linux Reaper.
There are 19 other amp models, clean pre-amp to crushed,
not to mention worlds of vst ampsims, free and commercial,
for guitarists to reach into the void.
For keyboard players, there are hardware romplers, samplers,
synths, and vst instrument sounds defying both description
and enumeration.
In practical lifespan terms, there are infinite sound sources
for my humble Colour Copy preset, and I look forward
to ones created by people who know what they are doing,
or even just get lucky sometimes.

Antresol is just a flanger. The sound is very different from ColourCopy. Antresol has a very bright and metallic character. There's no self-oscillation but at extreme feedback settings you can get some harsh ringing tails. Also it is capable of very nice digital aliasing effects. So for me Antresol is more like a digital sound processor from late 80s. On the other hand, flanger in ColourCopy is very warm and smooth sounding. At extreme settings it can self-oscillate into "saturated sine" like texture which has a natural and pleasant character. ColourCopy is capable of creating bright flanger effects, but they feel "analog" and there's no "digital" qualities in the sound.killmaster wrote:Does anyone know how this compares to the D16 Group Antresol BBD?

Wow, thanks so much for such a perfect comparison. Exactly what I hoped to get!drzhnn wrote:Antresol is just a flanger. The sound is very different from ColourCopy.
