I don't know if this has already been suggested, but besides linking the input and output controls, buttons for switching up and down the time base would be very helpful. Constant clicking and selecting the time is somehow clumsy.

EDIT: Probably on a laptop, right? then ignore that suggestion. But I don't think that we will implement this. Clutters the interface to much for the improved usability in that specific scenario.

One option to consider would be adding stylish little triangular "lef"t and "right" emblems right on the edges of the current time value button/field that is on the GUI already. There's a nice bit of space on the edges, without feeling cluttered if used subtly in this manner. At least it would seem it wouldn't be that obtrusive. The idea being, clicking on the edges of the time value area would jump directly to the next/previous value, and clicking on the main center part of it would show the list as usual.u-he-william wrote:I don't think that we will implement this. Here's a couple of guitar presets,
totally untested on anything else,
for ambient leads. Re-name each .tar extension
to .h2p
as .h2p lacks enough clout to be uploaded

Agreed, u-he quite literally has this under control, hah, and I do realize your comment probably wasn't intended to be accurate this time, being more of a light joke stemming from a slight chip on the shoulder from the gearbox goof
Anyway, quick n dirty:

i'm all for standing up for devs when they're being harassed by The Great Unwashed, but I think in this instance the person making the suggestion was very polite and well thought out, and was directly in response to a design conundrum mentioned by a dev.Stefken wrote:You had your answer. I hate menus so I was all for this suggestion...up until I found out mousewheel worked to already solve the same problem.

Is there a way, when changing the timing values for L and R in the center panel, to make the values snap to whole numbers? It takes a lot of extra time & care (workflow wise) to simply get to, for example, 4 or 6 when I have to drag through .99 values between every number, and then also make sure I land accurately on the whole number. A modifier key would be nice, or maybe I'm overlooking one that already exists?

If you keep both sliders to the far right and change the base time or the rate, it's basically the same as linking the two.mholloway wrote:Is there a way, when changing the timing values for L and R in the center panel, to make the values snap to whole numbers? Also, when I move the tap position, it's already moving in whole numbers by default. The only way it moves in more fine increments is if I hold down shift while moving the tap position.

Mouse wheel neither trackpad doesn't feel right for this at least for me. A keyboard shortcut would be a nice alternative though.u-he-william wrote:Mouse Wheel.groovyomega wrote:I don't know if this has already been suggested, but besides linking the input and output controls, buttons for switching up and down the time base would be very helpful. I recognised a little triangle in this early version here:

That triangle just highlights the connection between rate and time base, purely visual.
Not sure what you mean here. Without modifiers, the handles should move in 1% steps. You can snap to notes with one modifier (alt on windows) and you can fine move the handles using shift and drag. Lastly, mouse wheel works fine as well, also keeping 1% steps.mholloway wrote:Is there a way, when changing the timing values for L and R in the center panel, to make the values snap to whole numbers? Sorry but I doubt this will make it in the final release. When we get more feedback on this, we might implement something in a later update.bdhm wrote:Hello,
can we link L & R Tap Positions ?
Mhh, I'll mention this in the office. I usually prefer to use the mouse wheel since I don't have to accurately hit small buttons next to displays. But I guess this is how I interact with the UI, maybe not how everyone else does it.Guenon wrote:One option to consider would be adding stylish little triangular "lef"t and "right" emblems right on the edges of the current time value button/field that is on the GUI already. Sort of like the arrows in the main preset chooser:

(That field doesn't currently respond to mousewheel for traversing the preset list in u-he plugins, btw!
