Hey peep,
I really like a bass voice in Repro-1. How would you go about reproducing this bass on Diva, which I believe is more capable? Thanks much.

You should take a careful look at the settings in repro: waveforms, number of voices, envelopes and so on. Reproduce them in your synth of choice and then start fine tuning the patch by really listening very close. Because envelope behavior etc on one synth can be different in another synth. So copy settings, and start listening and turning knobs, trying to get as close as possible.

Btw what do you mean by “is more capable”? At what? synthesis? Bass? Features?JohnnyWhite wrote:Hey peep,

Diva may have more voices, but remember: RePro-1 is based on newer tech and actually has more detailed filter models than Diva and modulation ranges that just don't exist in Diva. If you like the bass sound in RePro-1, then use it. It's one of the best sounding softsynths out there. If you need more voices, then you'll need to figure out how to approximate the particular preset in a different synth, which involves some analysis and listening.

Repro-5 has up to 8 voices. Enough?Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:If you need more voices, then you'll need to figure out how to approximate the particular preset in a different synth, which involves some analysis and listening.
