I don't need MB split for current project, so just trying to make sure I don't head down a path only to realize there are critical differences I failed to notice at the onset.

No global Dry/Wet, Input gain, Output gain and Temp gain.
But all these functions can be achieved with the modules anyway, so no big deal.
MXXX1 uses less system resources than MXXX.

Ahhh... that's why my import broke. It was using input/output gain. Missed that.

Thx.

All of that can be simulated easily and would probably be more efficient than using MXXX, but it takes a few clicks indeed.

What's MXXX1?

Post

A single-band MXXX

From v12.03:
Added MXXX1 edition of MXXX, which isn't naturally multiband (Crossover module can be used however of course), hence saving additional resources. It will not load MB (active) presets correctly of course.

OK not got round to even installing that yet

So what are the rules for copy/paste of presets between MXXX and MXXX1?

Can any MXXX1 preset be imported into MXXX?

Can an MXXX preset that doesn't have settings for any of the absent MXXX1 controls be imported into MXXX1?

I've been able to open MXXX presets with no problems except for broken controls in the case of those few missing features (input/output gain). Even in those cases, though, everything else worked. I haven't tried importing anything that utilized the top level MB split.

You can copy/paste/save/load stuff from MXXX to MXXX1 and back, but some connections may be lost of course - e.g. if you use the global Dry/wet, it won't exist in MXXX1. Similarly for global crossover. From MXXX1 to MXXX the conversion should be completely ok.
