Shame Zebrify doesn't have "Soft Attack" button like Zebra does. But perhaps it could be "hacked" into a skin? :)

How about a knob that adjusts the "fade shape". Middle is linear. to the left is more concave (repeats drop in level faster), and to the right is more convex (repeats drop in level slower). :phones:
Nearly every delay works by looping a signal, you loose any information about how often the signal already looped around. Do you can’t really have different feedback gains or filtering/ distortion characteristics for different echos.

One thing that CoCo already does on a very subtle way is compressing or expanding the feedback so that echos fade out faster or slower once they’ve hit a specific amplitude threshold. But this is just part of the model and not a dedicated feature.

Instant Zoviet France! Thanks u-he! You are the best.

Love it.

So tried it, loved it and now that pay day has finally come, bought it

Quick question though, how do I deactivate the Beta Tester user to activate my own shiny new serial?

In this u-he folder, there is a file called com.u-he.ColourCopy.plist, it holds the beta tester serial. Delete this plist file, then start your host, load ColourCopy (which will now be in demo-mode again), and you can enter your serial number.

If you click on the data display, the top entry should be "enter non-beta serial number". Click on that...

[EDIT] I've just seen Tas's response. Not sure that's necessary, but Tas usually knows best!

And for the PC users _
zvenx wrote: apparently on the pc it is as simple as right clicking the preset lcd area, on mac sadly it seems you have to delete a specific file.
someone mentioned which earlier.

Cause you have a version that has your solution, but it isn't here yet :)

Thank you for the quick reply, that was my original assumption however when I click on the data display I only get a list of presets.

Somehow I missed this topic until just now. Bought it!

I'm still not a fan of it as a 'classic' delay effect soundwise, but I use delays mostly as as really duby delays, maybe that's a wrong expectations and it was never designed for that purpose. But I was really hoping for something like this in the echo boy direction

I found out that I quite like it as a effect with very short delay times to get almost flanger like or or metallic sound effects.

But there is one point were I really would like or better need a better control. The filter "brightness" in the feedback path.

I need to have a low/high pass to get exactly the part from the signal that I find interesting. That's not possible with the 'brightness' knob as it is a simple high OR low pass.

Now I've made a comparison. In my opinion, the Colour Copy did very well. The most obvious difference is the saturation caused by the preamp in the Memory Man and the crackling sounds from the dusty pots. Hear for yourselves!

The first one is always Colour Copy. I used a big box EHX Memory Man from early 200x. Download on SoundCloud for uncompressed 48khz 24bit sound.
Thanks for the work put on this. I'm surprised you put the delay after the amp, not the classic delay pedal setup. I got the delay as I don't have a stereo delay pedal so I knew I'd love to explore this for non mono sources and I avoid having to reamp :)

You can do stereo effects several ways actually!

1. Set input mode to "mono-L/R" and feedback mode to "cross" (if your input signal is already in stereo, you just need to set the feedback mode to "cross")
2. Set the L and R delay taps to different positions
3. Set up modulation on the rate/tap pos./amplitude and set the stereo phase to more than 0 degrees
4. Any combination of the above!
