I've run into a few situations where I need to change units/range on the MP in ways that can't be accommodated with the first parameter or percentage options in order to better reflect their actual compounded effect.

For instance, accurately reflecting the output may require the MP to readout to range from -24 to 0 whereas the closest related parameter it's directly controlling might be -12 to 0.

What I've taken to doing, is setting up a dummy module who's only function is that it has a dB range that can be set to match the behavior I want so it can be set as the first parameter and dictate the MP's range/units.

It works, but I'd like to check to make sure it's not an unnecessary kludge. Is there a simpler solution to force a db range that doesn't exactly match that of any of the parameters?

That seems a bit cleaner... especially as the routing window gets increasingly complex.

I've only briefly looked at banks, but this is simple enough.

EDIT: Seems to work just fine for dB values which makes me wonder for future reference: What is the right circumstance for using the log version of banks interpolation instead?

This has worked well a number of times for me, but I'm now seeing a few cases where I am unable to type values into the MP.

I'm not quite sure what the differentiator is yet, but it looks like it may be range inversionl (positive to negative or vice-versa).

For instance, in the following, MP values are always negative, then the absolute value is passed to the parameter. Works fine on the slider, but typing in a negative value fails. I can type in a positive value, but it enters some other number instead (not sure what the pattern is there.)

What am I missing here? Is it not possible to invert ranges via this method? Is something else wrong in this example?
