There we go - a new plugin standard

'the discount seems to be a joke iZotope'

Well, this is how I understand it: Cinematic Dimensions has a list price of $399, intro price is $349 and Arpology owners pay $299. That's $100 off compared to list and $50 off compared to the launch sale price. Not bad for 23GB of content.

Ask Sonivox or Waves about reasonable List Prices

Yeah, those are really something. No prob to get 90% off that way.

Looking pretty pretty good :tu:

So what´s the new stuff Soniccouture are apparently cooking up? Nyckelharpas, Moonkits, Dragon Winds,... "apply within for details" leading nowhere though...

... seems they´re adopting the Spitfire way of marketing now...

If you're not sure what you're buying for $329, I'd say that's the very definition of something that isn't a killer deal.

Lol. Thanks guys for the razz. Yeah. I never said I was actually perfectly rational, just wanting to be.

It's not that I don't know 'what' and 'who' they are or how to use them. Nor that their not quality.
I'm asking what your take on the discount ratio is from their normal sales and discount levels. Maybe that's a clearer question. I don't follow them. I find them over priced but quality stuff. Since they're over priced I spend my time and interests looking at everyone else.

So, now that they're finally what 'appears' to be a deep discount for them based on what appears to be a decent quantity of instruments, I'm asking for input. I was still skipping even looking into them when on offer from NI as I just thought they'd be bundled into the next version of KU12, right? Or am I mistaken on that?

To me, why would I spend $329 on the package when they are all going to be in the next KU update I can get for $200? Or again, am I assuming mistakenly that they'll be in KU in total next time? Or are these always separate items when sold via NI?

Okay, so now that is what I was asking. Hope that's clearer.

I have Arpology and I don't expect a crossgrade discount that is higher than the recent sale price of Arpology. Yes, it's on the expensive side, but from what I have seen so far from the videos, it sounds top-notch. I think their target audience is the pros and it's priced accordingly.

Soniccouture products won't be included in any Komplete version. It's a sale because all their products are NKS compatible. NI did that a couple of times for the same reason for many companies (Heavyocity, Sample Logic, Waves, Sonokinetic, Soundiron, etc.).

Post

Ah, okay. Thank you.

I was hoping they'd bundle them in like we saw them do with Session Strings Pro and Heavocity stuff at times. And the orchestral stuff by soundiron.

I forget about the NKS angle as I use the older Arturia Keylab 88, 49 & 25 controllers. I forget they promote their companies occassionally from that angle. Thanks for the confirmation. It helps.

Seems like it's a decent deal for those willing to spend on it for 24 instruments. Trying to figure out which are not included...

PRODUCT INCLUDES
Installation files for Box of Tricks, Grand Marimba, Glassworks, Vibraphone, Pan Drums, Konkrete, Haunted Spaces, Electro-Acoustic, The Canterbury Suitcase, Xbow Guitars, Morpheus, Guzheng, Samulnori Percussion, Tingklik, Skiddaw Stones, Tape Choir, Wassolou Balafon, Estey Organ, Tube Drum, Thunder Drum, Giant Bass Tongue Drum, Bowed Gamelan, Toy Pianos, Kim and PDF product manuals.

So it seems that Balinese Gamelan II & The Hammersmith are not. What else am I missing? Wished they'd have a table for easy comparison.

It's a bundle of 15 paid products and 9 free products that can usually be chosen when buying a paid product.

No xtended piano either.

Thanks. $329 / 15 comes out to about $22 a piece. What I'd expect to be willing to pay nowadays for most products. :) Sounds reasonable. Especially now that I know they're not going to be added to KU12 most likely. I'll think about it.

Their pretty garishly plain website and the fact I always thought NI would add them all to KU someday always pushed me to not bother even glancing at their stuff. I guess I'll take a peak finally.

You are missing one of the most beautiful library, the conservatoire collection. I wonder why they are keeping that out of the sale.
