Although I like the sounds and features of the models in MTurboComp, sometimes I'd like something more straight forward and true to the orginals. Recently I went through and made simplfied versions of some of the models and I thought I'd share if anyone is interested. Perhaps working together we can make simplifed versions that work well and sound great. Once that happens we can upload them to the online exchange and everyone can enjoy them. Below is the first one I did which is based on the 1176. I didn't do much to this besides just making parameters invisible and changing the looks of things. I left all the stuff under the hood alone. Thoughts?

MeldaProduction - Its not necessarily that they are too complex, but sometimes I don't know what a parameter such as "compression" is doing. Every model seems to be a little different. Also on some models I prefer them to work like the originals and have exact stepped parameters. Sometimes I use them as is and the extra controls are useful, but I thought I'd create alternate versions too for times when I don't need that extra stuff and I don't want to figure out what a parameter is doing. In the future I'd like to create my own personal versions that will fit my personal workflow better, but I don't have time to do that right now.

That's a perfectly reasonable approach.

NB: For anyone-else who wants to do this - remember that the mods are NOT stored in the Active Presets (those listed on the left); rather they are saved as "ordinary" presets, using the "9-dots" button at the top of the GUI. You'll see that Chandlerhimself has saved his example as "1176".

Now, exactly how close you can get to the original is up to you and the work you put in. ;)
