Can't click on button inside plugin (Metal Amp Room)

Hi, I'm giving Tracktion T6 a test drive.

I loaded my Metal Amp Room plugin (pictured). It has some on/off toggles, like that LEAD icon at the top-left. When I click on it nothing happens :dog:. It stays on. Doesn't happen on other DAW (Ableton Lite and Cubase Pro).

Click + drag works, i.e. I can turn the knobs freely and change the sound, but toggling is a no-no.

It happens on VST and VST 3 versions of the plugins. Other plugins work fine (except Neutron 2 but that is for a different discussion).

Anyone has an idea?

You're sure that isn't just a status, that when you turn the lead control up and down, it doesn't come on for the upper 2/3 or so of the control's movement?

Yeah I'm sure. I've been using this plugin over two years now. It's an on/off switch. It also works like on/off in Cubase, my main DAW.

Any ideas?

Is it on a track with audio actually being processed through it? Some plugins don't respond fully until they've been initialised in this way.

Post

Yeah, I hear my guitar sound being processed through the plugin.
I can turn knobs (click+drag or mouse wheel), it changes the sound, but clicking on 'Lead' or 'Deep', 'Scoop' or 'Phase Inv', all these toggle-buttons won't activate/deactivate as on other DAWs (Ableton Lite and Cubase). Oh, there are two more toggle buttons which work, they are Amp and Cab Bypass at the bottom right corner of the picture. These work. Other 4 won't.

Other plugins I tried work well. Kontakt for instance, or bx rockrack 3.

Is there other information I can provide?

The only other thing I can think of is that there's some kind of automation that's resetting the parameters when you try to click the buttons? Can you try turning "automation read" (green "A" button in the transport area) off to see if that has any effect.

Other than that I think you might need to contact the plugin devs as if other controls are responsive, I can't see how we'd selectively disable some of the controls in the plugin UI..

For the record: I contacted Softube and they reproduced the issue in-house. They are working on it I believe. A workaround they gave is to treat these toggle buttons like knobs, i.e. click+drag up/down until the light goes on or off.
