ying and yang. must have balance in all things. even music
I respect your opinion and you're entitled to it, but when you say things like "you must have" that's where I respectfully disagree. There are no must have's in music.

Oh, absolutely. That's why I stopped trying to play the "popularity game" a long time ago. And, as a result, no, I don't have a lot of listeners. But oddly, there are a few people in this world who like my music. I can probably count them on 2 hands, but they exist. And that's good enough for me.

Well, it's no where near as weird as your stuff (even I have a hard time relating to it) but it's not your typical 3 minute pop tune or dance track.

Post

tbh i don't think my stuff is that weird :hihi:

well, the opening track is quite different to the bits of your stuff ive listened to before. has a vibe that would suit sci fi soundtracks, definitely not the stage musical/kff stuff that springs to mind when thinking of your tunes.

ill ignore hatsuki for now :hihi:

visions of demons sounds like it could have been done by the residents, around god in three persons :o
i think i may have just found a track of yours that i actually really like.

nice blend of technoesque vibes and ambience. topped off with a nice layer of cheese.
grill for 20 mins or until golden brown.

it actually works really well, now if we as a species can fight back against the robots and fend off the singularity.
hopefully we can get you some real humans on there!

no, seriously. good stuff just the obvious gets in the way for me personally.

Vurt, thank you for all your comments. I honestly didn't expect you, or anyone, to listen to the whole CD. I can't even begin to tell you how much that means to me.

To answer your question, the Musgrave Manor sample was taken from the Sherlock Holmes movie "Sherlock Holmes Faces Death" with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. I don't remember the actor who spoke that line but he played one of the Musgraves in the movie.

There were a number of samples used throughout the CD from that same movie and from other movies and historical events. You may or may not have caught them all. The Reflecting Pool is essentially a pool of water that one can look into in order to see any moment in history that they wish. It's one of my favorite concept albums that I've done even though I know it's not going to appeal to a lot of people.

Thanks again for listening.

I never read the books but have watched all the movies those two made. They're classics.

there was a version done in the mid 80s shown on sunday evenings over here, cant think of the actors name dammit.

thanks google..
jeremy brett

the recent modernised version with thundersnatch surprised me by being rather excellent too 8)

Another from "Six Guns And A Chaser"

Gone Are The Days

Used to be so good
Used to be so fine
Used to be my girl
Used to be mine

But now it's all bad
But now it's all wrong
So now I'm leaving
Singing this song

Gone are the days
When I used to love you
Gone are the days
When I used to care
Gone are the days
When I gave you my all
Gone are the days
Gone are the days
Gone are the days

We had such good times
You had the best lines
But now it's over
And it's a crime

Repeat Chorus

If I could go back in time
I'd wish that you were never never mine

Repeat Chorus

Another one from "Outtakes"

Don't Act So Cool

Strolling down the avenue
Prowling girls with all in view
Careful boy ain't got a clue
When they get a hold of you

You won't stand a chance
Disaster romance
End up in a trance
And you know just how it goes

Don't act so cool
You're just a fool
Out of your league
Dead from fatigue
You're on the brink
Time to rethink
Before you're dead
Inside your head
Don't act so cool

Parting gifts for all who play
You can't win boy anyway
Live to love another day
That is what the lovers say

Repeat Pre Chorus and Chorus
